Latrelle has a son, Ty Williamson (Kirk Geiger), who wanted to become an actor but has had to come home for the funeral. The dead woman?s daughters, Lavonda (Ann Walker) and Latrelle (Bonnie Bedelia) fight over the funeral plans. He was also indirectly responsible for the woman?s death, as she had been his mistress. Nethercott (Beau Bridges) drinks too much and cheats on his wife, Noleta Nethercott (Delta Burke). W. G. Brother Boy (Leslie Jordan) is a transvestite who believes himself to be a country/western singer and has been locked up for many years. Sissy Hickey (Beth Grant) is the sister of a woman who died recently and must deal with the death and quitting smoking

There is no need whatsoever for Necessary Evil. In this case, I suggest letting it be tossed. Every cliche and stereotype you have ever seen has been collected in one terrible place, like a bag of unwanted kittens ready to be tossed into a river. " Ugh. Have a nice day, officer. ' I'm too much woman for you anyhow. Actual line of dialogue: "So much for 'to serve and protect. At one point, the heroine sits in a jail cell and rattles off cliches to a cop. There's not an original scene or line of dialogue in the whole film. Sitting through 87 minutes of this garbage is like walking through a museum of cliches. Here, let me give you the finger and then explain to you what it means. See how stupid you are? Stupid you. "See, you're so stupid that even AFTER someone tells your that Reficul spelled backwards is Lucifer, you're too stupid to figure out what Lucifer means. Go back to sleep. " That's in the script!), but quickly follows it up by LITERALLY saying, "Get it? No, of course you don't. They not only feel the need to have the narrator/main villain tell us so at the end of this crapfest (The narrator actually says, "I am Reciful spelled backward. As soon as you see that word, you're smart enough to spell it backwards and get Lucifer, right? Well, the director and/or writers don't think so. * Let me put it briefly; the film centers around an evil pharmaceutical firm that's making a drug called Reficul. I mean insulted in the sense that the people who made it actually felt it necessary to tell the viewer that he is an idiot *literally. I don't mean insulted it in the sense of making an unbelievably bad movie, which Necessary Evil certainly is. Necessary Evil is an unnecessary movie unless you feel it has been much too long since someone has insulted your intelligence

Such a despicable movie! I really hated the character Simone in this movie because of his actions

What did not make sense to me is why the cop who got iced, did not run for cover when he was summoned inside! Oh yea, and another, if I were dose guys, I would have put the gagged cop in the coffin. I give this film 4 stars for doing it right and one star because I liked it. Hey, great chace scene but no air and I would have used a GTO instead of a Ventura. Yep Manucci, the rogue, unrepented and no love life! Every scene had City texture; skylines, waterfront, dirt roads, Chicago looking hoods. Hey, ya gotta be kiddin me

Gold Diggers of 1933 is a must-see for fans of musicals, and even if you're not, you might be surprised if you give it a try. The film is like a time capsule of life during the depression, but never becomes depressing thanks to the wit in the dialogue and fantastic direction from Mervyn LeRoy and especially Busby Berkely. It was made just before The Code was heavily enforced on Hollywood films, and thank God it was. The writing is razor sharp, the cast is just about perfect, and the musical numbers are absolutley stunning. A masterpiece of the musical comedy genre, Gold Diggers of 1933 holds up surprisingly well in spite of a bit of sit-com-style writing in the second act
