Yrsa F (es) wrote: Great film, that holds your attention and tension, with very little dialogue. Very well made, with great filmmaking skills, how to string it together with as little dialogue as possible. The man actor holds you entranced with his gaze.

Greg P (au) wrote: Very funny and charming movie full of lots of good up and coming actors at the time. This movie is very entertaining and is full of some pretty great quotes and observations about male/female relationships. Definitely check this out.

Ian B (it) wrote: unbelievable cast - but from a while back now - good solid english tucker!

Shane O (ag) wrote: Incredibly simplistic in concept yet hugely entertaining in execution; "Smokey and The Bandit" succeeds in proving that a film doesn't always need complex characters or deep plots to garner results, in this case, a great cast and furiously, fun pace more than suffice.

Doug C (us) wrote: Classic noir about an immigrant family destroyed from within by its tyrannical patriarch, Gino Monetti, played by Edward G. Robinson. Three of his four sons work with him at his bank and suffer in silence as he berates them, until they turn against him and his favorite son, a lawyer played by Richard Conte, who goes to prison after his father is found to have broken banking laws involving high-interest loans. When Conte gets out of prison, he seek revenge. Great noir cinematography of the Monetti house that mirrors the suffocating monmania created by Gino Monetti, as well as good acting, plot progression, and dramatic finale make this a worthwhile noir.

Tero H (de) wrote: I'll list my pluses and minuses for this film:+ the orangutan Clyde- the plot is a bit too simple to keep one's interest continuously+ has some really funny scenes- a bit too much of the of solving problems with guns and fists+ yet it has no crude language or gratuitous violence- there's just a lot of strolling around without that much to do+ and yet it leaves one with a nice feeling.A fun action comedy with physical humor, fist fights and romantic twists, it has lots of silly characters and fine country music. Nice film all in all. This movie's finnish title is 'Mies San Fernandosta' - the man from San Fernando.
