Matt H (nl) wrote: As much as people disparage the Red states, the level of superstition and mysticism left in the world is at times mind-boggling, as evidenced through the culture depicted. Made me want to slap the grandmother every time she derided her grandson for such stupid reasons. Otherwise, an uplifting movie (besides the death and abject poverty). Well done film from a child's perspective. After watching the trials the boys went through in October Sky, I find the rocket scenes a little unbelievable (that the boy got it right the first time, without any metallurgy or precise chemical recipes for the rocket fuel), but it's possible to overlook such matters.

Sean S (us) wrote: Beautiful period piece but it runs too slow even for my taste and even the sumptuous Eva Green cannot save it. The story becomes a bit obvious for a psy thriller by the half way point and then you spend the rest of the movie just waiting on the obvious result.

Matthew F (us) wrote: Very cool documentary about James Cameron's further exploration of the Titanic wreck. I would've liked it to be a little longer. But, the discoveries, and even the drama of failing equipment keeps it fresh. I recommend it, especially if you like "Titanic".

Jasminka G (ca) wrote: I really enjoyed watching this movie, seeing how brave and feisty Anglica's character was. I laughed and cried - tissues, definitely!

Anupama S (ca) wrote: Very nice story! Kevin Bacon plays excellently as a mentally challenged personality has a lot to teach us, about the value of friendship & kindness.

Thomas B (ag) wrote: France's Gone with the Wind (although I hated the American version)...it also explains the beginnings of the Vietnam conflict...and again how we're trapped by our destiny!

D M (fr) wrote: A former child-prodigy psychic is hunted down by the government to work on a secret project involving entering dreams. Since he is on the run from bookies at the local horse track he joins the project before realizing its true intent. After discovering the project leaders plan which involves turning him into an unwilling assassin he runs from the research site with secret agents on his tail. Good 80s action, in this sci-fi/horror, but the pacing is a little slow at times with the needless drama and love story. Pretty decent effects (especially the end dream sequences) for the time and some decent scares.
