Debanjan C (es) wrote: It's safe to say that the life of the great Nelson Mandela is too vast to be portrayed in a single movie, which is why this biopic at times feels too rushed. Nonetheless, its still a very powerful movie that brings to light the struggles that this great human being underwent for the peaceful co-existence of society. Idris Elba portrays Nelson Mandela with so much gusto and perfection. Brilliant and moving!

Steve B (jp) wrote: It's disaster all the way but without the drama! '10.5' is one of my favourite TVM's that really does get your nails down, this movie really saps your energy. Low budget optical effects all the way through, no emotion in the acting and overall amateur stuff, there was even long silence gaps between chat dialogue in certain scenes almost as if lines were forgot. There was just no dynamic threat to the movie that people realistically fled from, almost as if the actors didn't believe the green screen effects! The music also didn't give the movie any lift or threat level. Been done before and trust me better from other movies. Slow, dull but watchable.

Michael M (es) wrote: Easily one of the worst movies I have ever seen, and not a fun awful movie that is worth watching again. The acting is pretty poor and the dialogue, when it's just not characters screaming, is pretty plain and boring. The SFX is decent in a few spots and the music is obnoxiously metal/hard rock. The worst part about this flick though is the script as there are huge holes and issues in it. In one scene, a car is overrun with zombies and the next shot, not at all. Every zombie kill consists of somebody getting ripped to shreds, so how this thing spreads is beyond me. The zombies themselves are pretty bad too; they run and seemingly have superpowers as they have no problem ripping limbs off and even pulling out an unborn fetus. Also, one second will show zombies everywhere and the very next scene they have all disappeared. In one particular scene, a large group of zombies all rise together at once! Lame. The camerawork is really shaking and has this really grainy feel to it, which does give the film some realism, but with all the shaking it was hard to see what was going on. I also had to laugh at how time plays no issue in this flick as one group of scenes shows a group of characters driving nearly an hour to get to a location. They make a break to the car and are shown at home in the VERY NEXT SCENE. huh?!? This happens a few times too. The ending is a complete copout too. I'm really looking forward to the time when zombie films, and horror films in general, get back to producing quality. I'm getting tired of every random joe thinking they can produce a horror film. Bleh.

Dave C (br) wrote: Now don't all my friends go rushing out to rent this one! Anyway, although certainly a little slow to get going and melodramatic, it builds to one of the most moving love stories I've seen in a while as 17th century Japanese propriety allows a master to commit adultery (or rape as we'd call it) and to bully while others must die for far less
