What happens if a boy wanted to overcome his "low" frequency to fall in love with whom he's against nature with. . Equally provocative and captivating, it has more intelligence and imagination than many blockbuster Hollywood movies I've seen in the last couple of years.

Charlie S (br) wrote: Surprisingly good. Very well acted, not too predictable, heartwarming at times, uncomfortable at times. It captured a moment in these characters' lives and showed it on screen. It's a good, well made film.*Sorry for the sparse review, but I'm just not in the analyzing mood tonight*

Sean F (ag) wrote: A good movie, and certainly an early indication of the style that Villeneuve would later pare down to its most primal elements. A pretty even blending of Bergman, Cronenberg, and early Samuel Beckett, if you can imagine such a mixture. The only problem is that the concoction feels too bound up in homage rather than originality. That being said, it is a pretty decent art film that shows a great Quebecois director's roots.
