WS W (gb) wrote: The trailer looked like one suspense thriller, while the film is blending with fairy tale fantasy too. Not bad at all but sounds kinda awkward from time to time.

Raphael S (jp) wrote: O filme muito bem-feito, mas da metade pro final vira uma baguna

Cynthia S (mx) wrote: Quirky, and enjoyable independent film. It had a nice romance, and a heartfelt father and son relationship. How can someone not like that?...:)

Armando P (de) wrote: Don't expect a movie based on a video game to be great... But this isn't bad at all.

Joseph H (ca) wrote: I dont care to watch.

Grayson D (ag) wrote: Winterbottoms second Thomas Hardy adaption after Jude, this time with The Mayor of Casterbridge he transplants the story to the western setting of Sierra Nevada is beautiful to look at with fine performances but it does get a bit bogged down and a bit slow paced.

W W (us) wrote: The songs in the first half-hour are annoying, don't fit with the genre and the plot is far too predictable.

Dupree C (de) wrote: The thing I found laughable about most of the reviews given for the film is how much the computer generated images we're so bad in this film. This was 1992, the film only had 1 scene under 15 seconds that was digitized.Everything else of the Alien was a puppet ROTOSCOPED over a bluescreen.Loved the atmosphere. Hated the plot. Enjoyed the story...

Grant S (us) wrote: Quite silly but has its moments.A man in modern times, Ash (played by Bruce Campbell), is attacked byan evil force and transported back in time, to the Dark Ages. He issoon captured by the local king but eventually wins the locals over. The local wise man figures that Ash is The Chosen One, a special personsent to free the land from evil forces. To do so he must track down aspecial book, the Necronomicon, and recite a certain phrase. However, things don't go exactly to plan...This started well. The jokes flowed thick and fast and Bruce Campbellwas great with the one-liners. The plot was never going to be tooserious but it wasn't too bad to start off with, and the humour carriedthe movie. Then, from a point, it just got stupidly silly, and the jokes becomeless frequent. It stopped being a comedy and become a common-or- gardenzombie / living dead movie. There were still a few good incidences andlaugh-out-loud moments, but these were negated by the silliness of theplot.Overall, more silly than funny, but not to a huge extent.

Roberto S (us) wrote: Eh.. what should I say this film was.. A bit enjoyable in a guilty pleasure type of way. Not so much as a well done but it's something I suppose.

Robby R (br) wrote: One ofthe best WWII movies ever that was rarely seen when it was released in 1975. Seamlessly integrates archival footage with the fictional narrative resulting in a truly unique experience filled with magnetism and awe.

James R (jp) wrote: This movie really went above and beyond my expectations, Shit was fuck fresh..a whole new flavor...and i love how rango and the settings it takes place in (the desert) represent alot of similarities to Fear N Loathing in Las Vegas....like Rangos shirt, the same shirt he wore in Fear n Loathing...the desert scene and him litteraly running into the the 2 characters (jhonny Depp and the lawer guy) stareing him self in the eyes from behind a windsheild....awesome...i loved it...and when i saw the bats, i went straight bat country....haha

Adrian B (kr) wrote: In a small town, an unemployed man (Nicolas Cage) wanders in looking for a job. He gets one, by this rich, ruthless nut (J.T. Walsh) who wants to kills his wife (Lara Flynn Boyle) who apparently made the money from an inheritance (or so it seems). The he gets involved with a crazy crowd, which includes this other nut (Dennis Hopper) from Dallas and attempts to escape the psychotic town. Probably most people that know Nicolas Cage have never heard of this film and watch all the critical bombs from after 2010. This is actually quite an interesting film. Suspenseful, bizarre, and takes a few surprisingly compelling turns. My issue with this film is the dialogue is not great. It's one of those movies that divulges too much in crude language. However, it is actually a pretty good movie.
