Based on a true story of the Smith's who eventually created their Safe Harbor Home for Boys. Safe Harbor is for boys that don't deserve jail time but need oversight and time to learn boating skills. Doug Smith (Treat Williams) and Robbie Smith (Nancy Travis) are a couple living in Jackasonville, Florida with all of their time spent on or near their boat. Reluctantly they scrap their plans for a vacation when a judge (Orson Bean) begs them to care for some troubled youth. Released by Questar Entertainment and itv Global, this is a Christian based presentation. In color, it is more of a television drama with scenic Florida setting. Color, about an hour long. Moderately paced. We don't really see anything about the Safe Harbor Home for Boys as it currently exists. All we have here is the beginnings of the idea that the Smith's had for wayward boys. Worth watching once, if only to see the evil social worker who does everything she can to frustrate the Smith's plan to care for the boys.

It seems that Kwak has drawn from his experience in directing comedies such as My Sassy Girl and melodramas such as The Classic, and decided to try both formulas in the same project. The result you get is: Windstruck!If you are looking for a good comedy to watch, Windstruck might not exactly be the one to provide you with the most laughter. Switching between sappy and hilarious moments, this movie brings you on a roller coaster ride of outbursts of different emotions. The role played by Jeon Ji-hyun is a happy-go-lucky police officer, whose sole reason of joining the police is because that was her dead sister's ambition in life. Jang Hyuk plays a high school teacher who had lead an ordinary life until the day he met Jeon's character. Instead of a sedentary life as a teacher, he finds himself entwined in her day-to-day policing activities such as chasing after criminals.In an interesting opening, the movie has Jeon, standing at the top of a building, attempting to commit suicide, with Jang Hyuk as the background narrator. It then moves on to a flashback and switches to a narrative mode to tell the story of the preceding events which eventually lead to the opening scene. Throughout the narration, we witness the encounters of our two protagonists and how they eventually end up together. There were a couple of hilarious moments and scenes which tickle the audience's funny bone.

Shots from surveillance cameras seem random and out of place, but it's nothing atrocious. Overall, an enjoyable movie, but falls short of some other adaptions.

Matt B (br) wrote: Ghost Story is a 1981 (What a year!) supernatural horror movie. What this film lacks in a orderly and coherent plot it makes up for in strangeness and chills! There's a sense of dread and spookiness that only builds with every scene! Ghost Story also has some impressive and quite creepy makeup effects under it's sleeve. There are moments where characters and plot points float in and out of the movie as a haphazard break to the more stylish and visceral scenes (something I think could get on peoples nerves). I imagine in the Novel there are some spots that translate better. I would say check out Ghost Story if you're a horror fan looking for a ghost story (a-ha!) with atmosphere and style put ahead of story. Always see for yourself!

O resultado disso nada mais que 4 HORAS DE FILME!!!!!!!! Sim, meu amiguinho, 4 horas na frente do PC tendo que trocar de posio diversas vezes porque sua costa t doendo e a bunda afundou no sof. E voc ainda jurava que O Senhor dos Anis era o filme mais - chato - longo que existia, n mesmo?Agora, me aprofundando superficialmente na complexidade do longa, Fleming e Sidney Howard (roteirista do filme) basicamente se embriagaram da fonte da obra original, o romance homnimo escrito por Margaret Mitchell, pra construir o que vindouro ganhador de 10 Oscar dos 13 que disputou. A trama situada no sul estadunidense do sculo XIX - 19, pra quem no saca de nmero romano que nem eu - em meio toda merda que foi a Guerra Civil Americana qual voc deve ter ouvido falar nas aulinhas de histria mas esqueceu completamente. Scarlett O'Hara (Vivian Leigh) mimada, egocntrica e sempre foi acostumada a ter tudo o que quer. Filha de um nobre proprietrio de uma plantao de algodo, a garota o sonho de consumo de todo boboca da regio, tipo a Regina George da roa. Acostumada a brincar com o corao dos rapazes, tudo muda quando ela descobre que o verdadeiro homem por qual seu corao bate mais forte, Ashley Wilkes (Leslie Howard) vai se casar, e pior, vai se casar com sua prima - dele, no caso - Melanie Hamilton (Olivia de Haviland). At a parece bem filme de romance genrico, mas a genialidade do roteiro trabalhar com a ambiguidade que o amor nos oferece. Movida por atitudes de total desespero/sagacidade/filha-da-putagem, a vida de Scarlett decresce totalmente na medida em que a Guerra vai crescendo e tudo o que ela foi acostumada vai se modificando conforme o tempo. Se j no bastasse tanta discrdia pra uma pessoa s, Scarlett acaba conquistando o desejo de Rhett Butler (Clark Gable), um bom malandro conquistador com naipe de artista e bigodinho de gigol. Rhett, uma pessoa to suja quanto a prpria Scarlett, est disposto a tudo para faz-la esquecer da sua friendzone e t-la em seus braos.Utilizando muito de frases de efeito, uma fotografia incrivelmente mgica e personagens cmicos, Gone with the Wind se constri de uma maneira fluda e consegue suavizar um pouco da nossa aflio de ter que ficar 4 horas vendo o mesmo filme. Srio, os dilogos, as reflexes, o jogo de seduo entre os personagens memorvel. Outro acerto do filme no procurar por um final feliz e no se prender clichs do gnero, onde a principal tem que ser necessariamente a mocinha da histria. Porra, conviver com a Scarlett seria insuportvel, sem contar o fato de que ela zicada totalmente. Rhett inesquecvel. Mesmo exagerando da violncia em diversos momentos e sendo o cafajeste padro, no tem como no sentir o mnimo de afinidade pelo personagem de Clark Gable. Outro destaque fica para as empregadas Mammy (Hattie McDaniel) e Prissy (Butterfly McQueen), sendo esta a primeira mulher negra a concorrer a uma categoria no Oscar e vencer.Enfim, acho que acabei no analisando tanto as nuances do filme como eu gostaria, at porque o que era pra ser uma parada sem compromisso algum se tornou em um texto de 4 pargrafos que nem a mulher do google tradutor leria, mas o filme muito grandioso - no s na durao hehe - para ser descrito por um mero mortal como eu, ento acho que no vai ser essas palavras que vo te fazer parar sua vida pra ver um filme com 4 horas de durao. Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn.
