Peyton D (ru) wrote: The layout of the plot is what truly tied the film together. Acting was okay for what the film was, but watching the plot unfold while also revealing how each character is tied to one another keeps you on the edge of your seat. Refreshingly different action sequences stray away from the clich (C) car chases and focus on making the bicycle chases exciting and fun to watch.

Jocey D (nl) wrote: Delightful and inspiring in a cultured way. Music is a demanding passion. You have to give it everything to shine for others. Good story of strength, betrayal and perseverance.

Chris G (mx) wrote: Beautifully shot and well acted, the quirky film might lose a viewer or two based on it's meandering, flimsy plot.

Justin W (jp) wrote: how to make this film: take e.t., throw in some unlikable characters, take away anything entertaining, add a dash of murder, and taadaa! you've got yourself a big ol' stinker that isn't entertainingly bad...it's just bad.

And whose bright idea was it to have a girl's parents get killed by a toxic gas spill in a children's film? This movie just scared and upset me as a kid. I will admit, I love the song Michael Crawford sings toward the beginning. Other than that, this movie just flat-out sucks.

Kevin Q (us) wrote: this was an ok movie for what I remember about it

Matt H (nl) wrote: Solid enough, but never quite steps it up to a truly engaging level. The script never delves deeply enough for me to either understand or care more about Karen, or any of the other characters for that matter. I think it's intentions are also muddled.

Robbie H (au) wrote: interesting film noir set in NOLA...the cast was great..Widmark was good and Paul Douglas was excellent...but Jack Palance steals the film as the main bad dude...such an interesting character...but u just cant top his performance in "Shane"

Michael L (kr) wrote: i think of all the propaganda films ive seen, this one has held up the strongest. cavalcanti was a very competent in his own right and there are some really effective shots and a teriffic battle scene at the close. at 90 minutes, it short and sweet. the film is never heavy handed and subtle. definetely a great film

Kim B (mx) wrote: Not what I thought it would...I thought it was going to be about the book where the man falls asleep for 20 years and it's back in like the middle age...I think I confused it with Gulliver's Travels. Anyways it had a great message about movies I think in general and it had a little bit of everything with humor, excitement, drama, love etc...Some great shots from the cinematographer. It knew how to poke fun at itself, but at the same time there were some scary and terrible parts that would sober you up for sure if only for a short while. It moved quickly and is a easy film that holds ur interest and has an interesting premise, even if a little bit far-fetched.

victor l (ru) wrote: It's hard to understand where the comedy is, actually the movie isn't very good because of the story but the performances and John Huston's direction were fine. Humphrey Bogart played Bogart again and he was charming as ever, Jennifer Jones played a great liar and Lollo was really sexy and beautiful.
