(au) wrote: This movie is very underrated. The score is probably the best to come out of Disney's Second Dark Age, the cast of characters is the most diverse in their arsenal, and the blending of action-adventure, animation and humor is pulled off flawlessly. But as with most movies I've seen recently, the film really falls short in its third act. Kida is shoved into a damsel in distress role, the explanation of the city's power crystal is too convoluted to be compelling, and the action unfolds to quickly for the weight of its implications to set in. Until that point though, Atlantis whizzes by on stellar kinetic animation, a compelling cast, dizzying action, and a wealth of funny moments. Not among Disney's finest, but better than the rest of the studio's early 2000's animated offerings. 6.5/10.

Want to find out more about the daughter, her abilities, and what it means for her to be part vampire, and part werewolf. Also, does the family end up together?
