Matthew N (it) wrote: A solid revenge story, with some great acting and interesting story. Unfortunately the best parts of this movie were the parts without dialogue, which was only the first half-hour. Still, it's different and engaging, and I'll certainly be seeing this one again

Damon S (ca) wrote: An insightful story of the hidden life of one of our most influential and successful Presidents and the climactic visit that changed history is told in Hyde Park on Hudson. A fascinating story of the complex, yet respected relationships and odds that are triumphed (human and political). The Famous Figures are humanized and made realteable to a degree that you can identify and fall for certain aspects of all the characters. The acting is great, the story is easy to follow, the shots are crisp and vivid bringing the Park to life. If you are a history buff you will enjoy this film.

Starring Brenda Blethyn and late Sotigui Kouyat. Film premiered at (59th) Berlin International Film Festival on Feb 10-2009. In July 2005, British Elisabeth Sommers (Blethyn), go to mainland England to search for her missing daughter (on infamous day of 7th July 2005 bombings in London)from Guernsey, where she works on her farm. An African Muslim Ousmane (Kouyat) flocks in from France looking for his son Ali, whom he hasn't seen since he left him when the boy was 6 years old. Both individually search for their son and daughter. The two suspect each others' kids in manipulating one another. Finally they come to know that they were a couple who lived together. Here is a film that deals with several issues, and what an effort to explore a human sentiments best tested in times of agony and misery during infamous London bombings. Brenda Blethyn delivers one of great performances of the year, and it's a performance that defines the very touching subject of the film. Sotigui Kouyat an old tall African man occupies the screen with his dramatic expressions, and a performance that brings 'versus' situation between Brenda and Kouyat. A remarkable and unforgettable movie.

Depp and Del Toro put on an excellent performance depicting how the brain CAN be effected by drugs... Ranging from mild paranoia to full blown brutal hallucinnations. Part hilarious, part scary what drugs are actually capable of, altogether makes a for an entertaining piece to say the least.
