Film took a long time to actually get interesting, left some plot threads dangling and crammed in a lot of drama at the end, some of which worked. Nice performance by Mackie, though I wish Washington had more to do.

Like Austrian comedy, they target the youngsters by basing the stories on drugs and smut. They've stolen gags from American Pie style teen films but the big difference is that the characters are not funny. They don't look funny, they don't talk funny, they just can't pull it off. The script is quite funny in places but these actors kill it dead.

Alex r (ru) wrote: 54 is a decent drama that boasts a good cast, but the biggest problem here is the fact that it tries to a broad movie in terms of storytelling, but it never gets quite there. Some of the cast were good, especially Mike Myers who is the film's strongest asset. 54 gives us a glimpse of the lifestyle and excess of the famed nightclub. This film is limited by a so-so script, one that is clearly underdeveloped. However I found the film somewhat entertaining, but it could clearly have been much better as well. The cast do what they can with the material and they manage to make it work for the most part. This is almost a forgotten film as no one seems to remember the film. The film is not great, but it manages to be interesting and it could have been much better as well. This is worth seeing if you have nothing else better to watch. Myers is good here and like I said, he is the film's best aspect here. The film is a decent drama that should have been much better, and it could have been much better if the script could have been so much better if the script would have been better written. Decent for what it is, 54 is mindless dramatic mindless drama that gives you a hint of what it was like to party in the famed night club. This is a film that scratches the surface, but like I said, should have and could have been much more as well. When the credits you do end up feeling like the film should have been more and you do realize that when the credits start to roll.

Surprisingly their music is pretty tolerable. Someone in Clown attire & make up is killing people (mostly women) @ their concerts & parties. Is it one of the band members, is their buddy who likes to put on the make up to get the pussy or someone else? It doesn't really didn't matter to me but the police investigating seemed pretty concerned. Sorta swept under the slasher rug Terror on Tour is pretty good for its kind. In fact I thought it rocked even if the acting is a bit pedestrian. Check out the end credits to see how shallow the women are written. Im sure Ann Davis loves having Next Girl on her resume

David L (us) wrote: Although the second and the third story can't measure with the first one, that is because what a story Magnetic Rose is! It is a visually astounding, original, very interesting, emotional and an all around very well-made segment that helps transcend the overall film to a status of very good. Memories is a great viewing experience and one of the better anime films from the nineties the does not come from Studio Ghibli.

Jim Q (fr) wrote: Anne Hathaway, with everything she says ending in an annoying growl, was a little difficult for me to deal with, but I'm not saying that I don't like her - I do. She just needs to work on her voice quality. Robert DeNiro, on the other hand, was great - one of my favorite actors - and this was something completely different from his usual gangster or CIA type characters. And I thought Christina Scherer as the flustrated secretary, "Becky" was absolutely adorable! I saw this movie on store shelves, but had some doubts about it. Someone recently recommended it, so I borrowed it from the library. After watching it twice, the next day I went to the store and bought it. Great movie!!
