Jeremy C (us) wrote: Your normal Debby Ryan type of film. But this movie really worked well. GRADE:A-

paul h (ru) wrote: gory, yet funny, not a fantastic zombie film, but weirdly great to watch???!!

Laura F (au) wrote: Reno and Oldman are great, but Portman steals the show.

Mark F (ca) wrote: I've only seen "Surviving Desire". Any Philosophy/Comparitive Lit. major who's been in an impossible, intense, and brief relationship will empathize with Jude... and also come to the same "What the hell was I thinking?" conclusion. Funny stuff.

Stephanie F (mx) wrote: It doesn't get wittier -- or more beautiful to watch -- than this.

David S (ag) wrote: There a couple of lovely sequences in this animated tale of two dogs that escape from a British research facility. However, the film overall is much too repetitive in plot detail and too monotonous in tone to work as well as the more famous Adams adaptation (Watership Down).

Raouf T (gb) wrote: it's a movie for the audience.

Kevin M (ag) wrote: I've softened up to this movie a little bit, giving it probably a 4/10, just one below average (which is pretty good for first film standards! It's about the same grade I give many of my favorite filmmakers' first film) but I realize that my problem with this movie isn't that it's not saying anything, it's that it is saying something so blatantly obvious that it beats you over the head with it (that being the desire to be someone else or belief that being someone else would make your life better). 15 minutes in, I get it. I understood it. And after that, I desperately wanted the movie to shut up, but instead it keeps going on and on, doing random artsy things for the sake of doing random artsy things and it just did not feel like a well-structured story nor did most of the movie justify itself. It would work much better as a short. With that said, some of the imagery is nice and the performances were all solid. It just felt very messy at times, but I don't consider it one of the worst movies I've ever seen, just one that people seems to love more than I.

Julian B (it) wrote: This sprawling biopic still doesn't do the ultimate justice for "Bapu" but it is honest and true which is splendid to see. Ben Kingsley captures the essence of his character and gives a magnificently glowing performance. The move is sweet and warming but confident in its script and direction. Fires on all cylinders from the performances, plot, cinematography and more. An outstanding film on the life-story of the Indian political and spiritual leader Mahatma Gandhi.
