Dave R (es) wrote: For some reason European critics like Loach's films (about Britain, made in Britain) much more than the British. So they know this is a modern classic, beautiful yet violent, political yet moving. If it was subtitled it'd already be on one of those dumb 'best films ever' lists.
Paige M (ru) wrote: I have always loved this movie oddly enough since I was a child. And seeing it on TV the other night just brought back memories to just how awesome Kathy Bates is. Throughout the entire movie, you're thinking she is quite possibly the creepiest person on Earth. Makes me think I shouldn't get so obsessed with things...

Don S (jp) wrote: This is a cute movie, and as an Italian-American, I did relate to so much of it! But, I'm only giving it 3 stars because I don't believe that cheating on your spouse/fianc/whatever is very romantic. I'm sorry, I just don't. I look at the categories that this movie is in, and I just don't get it. But that's just me. A good movie to watch, and great use of the moon!
Farah R (gb) wrote: Watching this now, way ahead of its time is a terrible objective. The humor and intelligence of the 80s is way overdue to a point where it's hardly funny at all. I did enjoy the aesthetic of the period and the music too.
Jennifer C (nl) wrote: I saw this movie when I was 7yrs. old, and it's engrained in my brain. It was the town full of cockroaches that really got to me. Scary stuff back then, something to think about. Great concept for it's time. Still a good watch.
JW M (br) wrote: when it comes down to it, it's simply about fitting as many depravities and violent acts into one coherent film as possible but there are a few interesting things. 1) the switch of the killers being not the country hicks but rather the posh tourists. 2) The somewhat odd juxtaposition of all this sex & violence set against blue skies, picturesque views, quaint Greek villages etc. and 3) the very attractive Jane Lyle who apparently only ever did two films beside this one.Potentially more offensive than any of the visuals is the appalling soundtrack although even that, by the tenth repeat of that one song, provides a chuckle.Don't bother with it - I'm sure there are other better films on the video nasty list
Matthew R (kr) wrote: Man this was bad. And I was watching it to kill time. I don't write many reviews, but I had to after watching this. Just Friends is just terrible
Emily D (gb) wrote: Great movie! Paul Bettany, James McAvoy and Kirsten Dunst are amazing actors :) Sam Neill is also great :)
Katie P (ru) wrote: Good performances, but the most absurd, yet uninteresting film I've seen since Perfume. Still wondering how and why this was made.
