(mx) wrote: Subtitled "a zombie nurse in love", this budget movie tells the story of a mousy nurse who finds her sexual calling after being bitten by a zombie, and infects the rest of the hospital. Filmed in black and white, with poorly synched dialogue added later, this shows some talent and style but ultimately the blend of horror, comedy, camp, and arthouse visuals fails to work.

That's really the part that I think is the hardest for people to understand. If you sit in your house, live your white life and go to your white job, and allow the country that you live in to murder people and to commit genocide, and you sit there and you don't do anything about it, that's violence." I was left indifferent in so much that I simultaneously despise hippies that talk about past acid trips and right wing Gestapo assholes.I think I hate hippies more. It's the smell.

(kr) wrote: Some Kind of Wonderful is a really great movie of its time and is pretty much a gender reversal of Pretty in Pink only not as good. I liked Keith up until he went on his grand date with Amanda and then something switched and he seemed like a complete asshole, that really let it down - also the end was very out of the blue - everything happened so quickly, it could have been executed much better, it felt very half-assed. I did love Watts though, she's a girl after my own heart! Perhaps her and Duckie should have had their own spin off movie. Overall i really enjoyed this but the ending lets it down as well as Keith's sudden change of character. The soundtrack is great and i love anything John Hughes & 1980s nostalgia permeates every scene.
