Roxanne R (de) wrote: It was funny, cute and amusing! This ethnic and gay-themed comedy is set in an Italian neighborhood of Montreal. Angelo Barberini (Luke Kirby) is an unmarried young adult who decides the time has come to move out of the home of his conservative parents. Then Angelo's friend Nino, a cop, moves in with him, and for a while the two men conceal the fact that they are lovers. But eventually the truth comes out, and there's a messy period of adjustment for all concerned. For Angelo's parents (Gino and Maria), tradition is about to come undone, and family is going to take on a whole new meaning. Recommended!

Jan Marc M (ag) wrote: Europa Europa is an incredible autobiography of Solomon Perel that features how a circumcised male reproductive organ can both be an asset and a liability in Nazi Germany, World War II. Outstanding.

Brandon M (us) wrote: Nothing fantastic. Though it is a fun movie and I always enjoy laughing at Ray Liotta.

Aj V (kr) wrote: Although the ending is horrible, this movie has a bunch of enjoyable moments. For example the disco style music when they're riding through the forest, which made me feel like dancing. Seriously, this movie is predictable and just like every other fantasy adventure movie. But it wasn't a bad movie overall, and had some good fight scenes.

Ms Amanda J (br) wrote: Staci Keanan gives a charming performance as the title character. Some fine acting is displayed when a red-faced and panic ridden Lisa is hiding in the back of Richard's car with Richard driving and unaware of her presence. There is a noticeable blooper involving Richard's license number but other than that, this movie was alright.

Aswin W (kr) wrote: Again Wesley Snipes shows his karate moves better than his lame acting among the others. The plot was a joke entirely and wrong zone entertainment.

David J (au) wrote: I actually enjoyed the film very much, and I can't understand the sneers over it, except perhaps to say that the Aryan killers in the beginning were not nearly as scary as they probably would'a, could'a, should'a been.I think the casting is solid, as the actors are all very natural and fit very effortlessly into their roles, with the possible exception of the particularly good-looking actors, inasmuch as good-looking actors generally do tend to have a harder time breaking out of the mindset of being hot on camera, and just loosening up and having some degree of neurotic flaw. The camerawork is very good -- lots of appropriate cuts and movements across the sets, and there's just the right richness of contrast between dark shadows and bright white spots to make it definitely feel cinema-quality. Michael Ironside still masterfully holds up his end of every scene in this film, as he's always done in everything I've ever seen him in, and I particularly like this film's showing me a lot of fresh and unique new faces instead of the same ones we've all seen a thousand times already.Yes, I suppose you could say that there is derivation from a movie like The Thing in this film, but it's only of the most incidental sort. After all, it's set in the arctic, and things are naturally going to freeze there. Get over it -- there's more to this film than just that.Anyhow, I say it's a good, solid piece of filmmaking. Get off your high horse and give it a try.

Alan G (jp) wrote: Vertigo is a gripping, suspenseful and unpredictable thriller, and one of the best films of the 1950's. James Stewart was fantastic... he portrays his character's gradual change perfectly. The movie keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout, right up to its shocking conclusion. In conclusion, this is an excellent film and a must-see for movie lovers.
