Morgan F (ag) wrote: While not the scariest movie out there, this film was brilliantly executed as far as it's cinematography. The paralleling of past and present was amazingly done, and the ending gives me chills every time. I absolutely love this movie, I could watch it over and over.
Ashish M (it) wrote: Golmaal 1> Golmaal 2 >> Golmaal 3Never felt like i was watching a sequel to the superb Golmaal.Only the parallel story, which is about an old couple's love story, makes you feel this is a Golmaal, ala Golmaal 1.

Sarah H (au) wrote: I was surprised at the cast members of this movie because it's a little lower budget than what I would expect, but still entertaining.
sarah d (ru) wrote: I love Kubrick, so let's take that as a given. This doc is super-fun to watch and even kind of inspiring, but it's just a hagiography and rarely if ever plunges the depth of this towering film-maker. It's fine, but he--and we--deserve better.
Ashley D (de) wrote: Found this a bit slow only the great cast kept me interested not much happens for the vast majority of the film glad I watched but wouldn't watch again
Jon T (fr) wrote: While her parents leave on an expedition, young Bonnie (Emily Hudson) and her cousin Sylvia (Aleks Darowska) find themselves under the "care" of Miss Slighcarp (Stephanie Beacham, looking like Scarlett O'Hara on a bad hair night), who sells the girls to an orphanage. We can tell that Slighcarp is evil because she wears dark gowns and sneers into the camera for just about every shot. With the help of a friend who lives in the woods (Lynton Dearden), the girls struggle to reclaim their house while outrunning savage wolves. Nothing we haven't already seen before, but this British production is great fun for fans of dark children's literature. I'm sure the book it's based on has more depth, as there are times when the film seems rushed, with a few questions unanswered (what's up with that secret passage in the girls' house anyway?), but anyone looking for good old-fashioned entertainment won't really mind.
Stephen C (es) wrote: Fun John Wayne film ,with the duke giving his brand of thick ear justice a work out on the streets of London. When a mob boss bails to London its up to Waynes cop to bring in the crims despite the funny culture clash way of doing things. Richard Attenborough is clearly having fun as the Brit head of the police getting into bar fights with Wayne and watching him wreak a destructive path across London. Yes the film is a bit silly and obvious in places but its all good fun and thats what counts
Charley Y (kr) wrote: This is a movie that needs a remake! Creepy atmosphere with kids silently killing the grown ups one by one. I thought it was very chilling and can ignore some of thedated material but what you get a a load of horror fun!!
Joey S (ru) wrote: I remember watching this when I was really young and it being creepy . Don't trust my younger self though
Michael L (de) wrote: Brilliant director, stellar cast, so how can this movie be such a dud? There's no movie in this movie. One simply waits for Monroe to re-appear on the screen. She is the only thing in this film with any life or vitality. This is a great example of what a real star can do to make a film watchable. Unfortunately, she's not it enough to save NIAGARA. Not worth seeing except to see a true star in action.
John A (de) wrote: Fantastic. Easily one of my favorite Ford films. Takes the heroic actions of a small and forgotten group of PT sailors and puts them in the context of the withdrawal of the Philippines. The resulting melancholy throughout the film, combined with Ford's patience and willingness to let the pictures do the talking, makes this a great film. To suggest that this film is hackneyed or rose-colored propaganda is to misunderstand the film entirely. This isn't the typical 'rah-rah' war film. Ford films a retreat! He shows as the Americans seem continually outmatched. Sure, our little squadron has some victories, but they are constantly returning to bombed out quarters or orders to redeploy to another island. Eventually, even the PT boat squad, despite the valiant efforts of its brave men, ends up dismantled. Don't let the Battle Hymn at the end fool you--yes, the film is patriotic--Ford's sensibilities are always with the men on the ground. But the Battle Hymn serves as a kind of veil over a film questioning the reasons behind a retreating army.
