Human Remains

Human Remains

Human Remainsis a haunting documentary which illustrates the banality of evil by creating intimate portraits of five of the 20th century's most reviled dictators. The film unveils the personal lives of Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, Joseph Stalin, Francisco Franco and Mao Tse Tung. We learn the private and mundane details of their everyday lives -- their favorite foods, films, habits and sexual preferences. There is no mention of their public lives or of their place in history. The intentional omission of the horrors for which these men were responsible hovers over the film.

Film clips of the 20th century's great dictators with narration in first person combine to form a fascinating portrait of power and evil. . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

Unless u live to have ur eyes bleed, avoid this movie. I tried to watch it. And then Jim Carey was in....... a love scene, and I wanted to slam my head into a wall. I turned off the movie immediately, but not fast enough. If it were possible pull a towel thru my ears, to scrub my brain in an attempt induce memory loss, I would. I couldn't even get to the plot. Who cares! No one should ever purposely see Jim Carey naked, and certainly not in a sex scene. Kill me now!

Anna B (it) wrote: Maybe it's because I've been watching The League lately and consequently find Mark and Katie immediately likeable and funny, but I thought this was a compelling, beautiful, complex depiction of a real, messy relationship, and relationships in general. Far from being plotless, it uses the MacGuffin of the road trip and the titular chair to tell a series of short stories illustrating the fascinating flaws of these complex characters. Even lame ending with all its false catharsis seems appropriate.

Mark R (de) wrote: I never would've seen this one coming. Who would have expected such a funny film with such a random idea? And with George Hamilton to boot? Due to the setting, it does not lose impact over time. On another note, it features some inspired directing and a great comedic supporting cast. Slapstick with brains and wit. The best of both worlds.

JURGEN P (fr) wrote: This movie is great spinoff for ALIEN movies and the best comic adaptation putting on screen based on Alien Labyrinth comics. Have great space pirates as antiheros. Every body loves The Gourdians of galaxy I prefer those guys and aliens in it.
