Cusack plays a naive entrepreneur willing to do anything to make it big, and Broderick is hilarious. The twisted storyline in the movie hits home with the fairly recent trend of natural living moving to the mainstream. I like movies that dare to try something original. The humor in Road to Welville is groundbreaking and will catch you by surprise at every twisted turn. The perfect comedy for a thinking person who doesn't take themselves to seriously.

Although Gordon was the true hero of the film you could see that Gladstone was in an impossible situation. If he helped Gordon he would be accused of imperialism. If he did not he would be letting a massacre of innocent people happen.

Classic comedy doesn't usually get me that excited, but I still enjoyed it. Not enough to want to see it again, but at least nothing irritated me about it. There's a pre-Code frankness that's bawdy without being crude, and I wonder if the storyline (either from the film or the original Noel Coward play) was an inspiration for Jules and Jim.

Ellen Page shines as does the rest of the cast. The music and settings are a little too quirky, but I felt Reitman adapted Diablo Cody's screenplay onto the screen very well.
