Carlos M (kr) wrote: A lousy and unimaginative mix of Solaris, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Alien, The Shining, Hellraiser and more - and if being a ragbag like this doesn't give you an idea of the disaster that could only come from it, the cheap, loud scares and Anderson's awful direction are definite proof.
Michael L (de) wrote: No wonder we won the war, the Germans - clearly identified in their dark, scull adorned uniforms - were rubbish. A bonkers film in which a Greek prisoner of war camp commanded by Roger Moore (with an incredible German accent) is over-run by Elliot Gould (a college jumper/ Yankee hat wearing yank (!)), Telly Savalas (a Greek nationalist) and Richard Rowntree (token) as Stephanie Powers does a strip show on a stage - all directed by David Niven, bingo. It gets better, they persuade Moore's men to help them loot a monastery for treasure but hang on that's a V2 and the Nazis are dressed as Formula 1 mechanics. They foil that, bunker down in a brothel and it end in a Greek dance with Savalas as the Alpha male. Wait, there's more - the curtain notes have us in 1979, listening to Phili soul back with toursists in the same square. A rainy afternoon well wasted. Mentale!

John W (ag) wrote: It wasn't bad, but even for spoof it was pretty over the top - great cast and lots of good horror movie references, nods, in-jokes (but with all the references to the classics, that scared by less is more, they still couldn't resist going for the gore). Again not bad, but even at 90 min run time, it was a lot of setup for the payoff.
