The performances from Dustin Hoffman and Robert De Niro in particular steal the show. Ben Stiller is fine, as are the rest, but no one reaches the height of the two Oscar winners here. It was funny to see a realistic subject of in-laws crossing, but done is a much more extreme manor.

Kurt F (ru) wrote: 12/3/13 This film a heart warming tale based on a real person's life. It is nice to watch, but a lot of the "truth" seems to be a bit stretched to make the script more appealing to Hollywood. It seems a little too convenient that as soon as one conflict is resolved, that immediately leads to the next conflict. It is still entertaining to watch, but after a few conflicts, I realized the formula they were using and started guessing the next plot points. So, the story and its execution are good, the script just stretched the real story a bit too much and that made me left with a feeling that it was a bit "false" and not so believable.
