Private U (fr) wrote: Pointless and slow. A character film full of boring, self indulgent characters. The dialog is very realistic. This is not necessarily a compliment. Music is good, though.

Silke B (ca) wrote: I have been watching Nirvana live performances the whole afternoon and it made me feel like I was twelve years old again. It wouldn't have surprised me to spy my younger self as I looked into the mirror. It would have felt right to have blue colored hair again, to wear a torn jeans, chucks and one of my father's check shirts. To burn joss stick's and to drink weird tea-creations.This collection is funny, full of truth and makes my heart beat for Nirvana again. And the performance of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" on Top Of The Pops is amazing. So, if you want to go on a trip back to 1992, this is a wonderful way to do so.
Paul K (ca) wrote: A politically correct Nineties film with thinly-drawn characters and a largely predictable plot line. Not bad though, too many characters perhaps. Think 'Letter to Brezhnev', 'Brassed Off'. Meera Syal wrote the script. Good for period colour.
The Movie W (mx) wrote: Despite the schlocky title, Frank De Felitta's TV movie is played straight and has some atmospheric moments. It's surprisingly well crafted for a TV flick and features some impressive cinematography. Charles Durning is at his sleazy best as the hick mailman who murders a mentally challenged man who he thinks is responsible for the death of a young girl. His friends start to die in mysterious circumstances and a scarecrow keeps appearing in a nearby field. Well worth checking out for fans of old school TV horror.
Anna B (es) wrote: The first part is easily the best, with some very nice hard sci-fi elements (zero-G ohhhhhhhhhhhh). The following two are less impressive, with part two seeming incongruous and utterly unbelievable (though fun) and part three being rather ugly and difficult to relate to, even though it's nicely satirical. Overall good, but part one probably would have worked better as a stand-alone feature, if the plot arc was tweaked a bit.
