No not really. So this is the sequel to the 2006 film The Protector. Jaa returns as Kham who at the beginning of this movie is living in paradise he's teaching kids martial arts and he's taking care of his elephant . Then the elephant gets kidnapped again like in the first movie then it's Kham's job to get the elephant back home but then he's framed for murder then the movie gets dumber from that point forward. The CGI effects in this movie are just awful there's a scene where Kham's fighting in a building that has just been set on fire and the fire looks so fake it looks painted on. Then there's the obvious story issue of Kham has been framed for murder right then doesn't he look more guilty when he kills several motorcycle dudes and almost a ton of other people. Then RZA shows up and he's just overacting so badly here it's like he's in a whole other movie. The first Protector movie was a lot of fun. This one sucks and it's a huge waste of time

The most exciting part of the movies is over in a moment and there was no suspenseful clues so that the storm scene comes and goes quickly without warning. Then the rest of the movie tries to find a way to end the story neatly including the requisite main character voice over epilogue. A formula movie with interesting acting that ultimately dies from the script.

Having such a miserable sour-faced old cow as Mrs Hammond as the leading love interest makes no sense. Any bloke in their right mind would scarper at the first possible opportunity leaving two fingers lingering in the air (and possibly something unpleasant on her freshly scrubbed kitchen floor). A thoroughly depressing experience.
