Aaron J (nl) wrote: This was a film that I really enjoyed. As a hippie supporter, I really found this film to be profoundly deep and straight to the point of the men behind Woodstock. I have to say that I am reallly not a fan of Demetri Martin's comedy but I do have to say that he is quite a terrific actor, his performance was so heartfelt on so many levels, as Elliot Tiber, he captures the essence of a man just trying to make it in this world, while trting to take car of his aging mother and father at the same time. Liev Schrieber is fantastic as a transvestite grandfather, giving a true force of a performance in every scene he is in. And I also thought that Jonathan Groff Was amazing as Woodstock's producer Michael Lang. I have read enough about Michael Lang to know that his performance really lets you into the mind of the man. Emile Hirsch was pretty good as a Veitnam Vet, but his performance didn't compare to his performance in last year's MILK. Ang Lee's direction was just quite ok, I don't really think that he tried to capture enough of what Woodstock was truly about. But Eric Gautier's cinematography and James Schamus' script really saved the film. This film is a must own.

Zach F (de) wrote: I loved this movie. It has a truly remarkable ensemble cast and if you have ever had any experience with the VA Hospital system you know that the problems are very real. A great movie.
Eric H (au) wrote: Wow, This was VERY good. A story that as you on the edge of your seat the whole time, guessing over and over again. This film has such a good style to it, With a creppy flashback filmed in sepia and the colors very dark. The use of not "seeing" certain elements or people, but the use of sound, IMAGINATION- A key element for a horror film. It was very...how should I put this...Poked at your comfort zone. You didn't feel safe or in control watching it. Some people might complain about the Quality of it, escpecially it is hard to see in a particular night time shot, but through the sound it's better that you don't see it. Unfortunately, with a lot of these great horror films that are over looked, There is no remastering. I have it in a "Horror Classics" DVD. It is absolutely amazing and very very creepy. You'll be walking up your stairs looking around unsteadily. You have to love the feeling. This will definitely scare the lady friend. :)

The R (kr) wrote: Absolutely shocking . For all you people saying its a good even decent film , you've got some problems . It was easily one of the most frustrating films I've ever watched in my life. I have wasted and hour and a half (or however long the film is) of my life watching absolute utter trash. I was so angry after watching it. It should be considered as a comedy because it was funny how bad it was. I wouldn't wipe my ass with that.
