Sid S (ag) wrote: When two "troubled" teenager boys meet, they find one complex way amidst the aura of their incompatibilities of comprehending each other. It's the exploration of their own relationship and with the others that are worth discovering and treasuring like that loving remembrance- funny, but heart felt- they both received without reservation. Lesson learned: Regardless how ugly ones life is, there is around some sparkles of pride that one can play about and be happy about it!

Ro R (jp) wrote: I love this movie. It really hits home for me in a lot of ways, despite the fact that I am female (I'm more like Mark and Robert than like Claire). I did the whole Star Trek thing, uniform and all, but as an adult. I not only met Shatner, but sat next to him for hours while he did autographing at a convention. He was a dick, and I kind of felt like Mark and Robert did when they met him. I had the room full of action figures, knew all the references.... It was a great movie for the late 1990's when sci-fi was really beginning to peak, and it was okay to come out of the closet! I love all the references to old sci-fi shows. It's a fabulous movie for an over-40 geek!

John M (it) wrote: Although it's a thriller, Se7en features many elements of horror cinema, and typifies what being a horror fan is about. It's about knowing you shouldn't look, but wanting to - feeling compelled to - anyway. And the well written script and pitch-perfect performances by Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt make the film itself compelling as a whole. Also, Kevin Spacey's deranged villain is worthy of the utmost praise. It was this film, together with his turn as Verbal Kint in The Usual Suspects, that cemented him in my mind as one of the best actors in Hollywood. He plays the role of John Doe with a quiet, malevolent menace, but also marvellous, understated glee.

Pete S (ru) wrote: Diana Ross was superb in this. Too bad she didn't continue acting.

John T (it) wrote: Very short movie. Only 1 hour. The premise is a civilization makes a teleportation machine. However, there is a glitch where every once in awhile it sends people to another parallel universe where almost everything is the same. It's a little difficult to follow as two of the person jumps around trying to set things right and run from the law.

Tim G (gb) wrote: I did like the Christine based on the Stephen King book where a high school senior is obsessed with a red 1958 Plymouth fury but I was disappointed in the acting except for harry dean stanton who plays a state police detective
