Immoral Tales

Four erotic tales from in various historical eras. The first, 'The Tide', is set in the present day, and concerns a student and his young female cousin stranded on the beach by the tide, secluded from prying eyes. 'Therese Philosophe' is set in the nineteenth century, and concerns a girl being locked in her bedroom, where she contemplates the erotic potential of the objects contained within it. 'Erzsebet Bathory' is a portrait of the sixteenth-century countess who allegedly bathed in the blood of virgins, while 'Lucrezia Borgia' concerns an incestuous fifteenth-century orgy involving Lucrezia, her brother, and her father the Pope.

Josh S (us) wrote: As a Bourne movie it falls short, as a movie, truly a work of art. Jeremy Renner owns this role and the action is truly phenomenal

Jon M (nl) wrote: The acting isn't great; the cast is mainly the 4 people in the movie, there were a couple big plot holes too... but the end was still pretty good.

Gary P (fr) wrote: Great movie that, unlike a lot of sports movies, doesn't shy away from the politics of the time, both in the sport and out of it. Billy Crudup and Donald Sutherland are brilliant in this.

Jarrin R (ru) wrote: One of my Christmas favorites, that doesn't mean it is that great of a movie. The story and acting are just okay, it provides enough spaced out action and laughs that you are not bored. Although it's nice to see Arnold in family friendly role, it is not that believable that he is his character.

Jerome W (it) wrote: Well I'm going to try again to keep this thing up if I don't do anything else except talk about movies. That will be easier because Netflix has a sick load of choices. Of what I've seen lately, I liked "Nine Songs" better than most people. Explicit sex in a film doesn't bother me. I think it's a lot more honest than most of the beat around the bush crap they do in mainstream movies. "The Harmonists" turned out to be really moving. The dog was "Busting", a cop movie from the Dirty Harry school starring Elliott Gould and Robert Blake as grubby cops fighting the system. The plot was typically illogical, stacking the deck against the pair in ludicrous ways, but the real killer was Peter Hymas' direction. The man was addicted to hallways. Every second shot in the movie seemed to be a tracking shot down a long highway. Robert Blake was second banana in this but looking at his performance it was easy to believe this was his audition for "Baretta".

Kevin R (jp) wrote: They called it the jackass mail.A stage coach stop worker and his boss are randomly visited by a young woman with a baby definitely on the run from something. Shortly after they arrive, a group of outlaws arrive and hold up the stop. To make a point, the robbers kill the boss. The desperate young lady poses as the worker's wife in hopes of survival. Can the woman and worker survive or will the robbers take them out as they execute their plan to rob the next stage coach? "What are you afraid of, coyotes?""Yeah, the kind with boots on."Henry Hathaway, director of True Grit, Shoot Out, Seven Thieves, Niagara, Garden of Evil, The Black Rose, Kiss of Death, Brigham Young, and Sunset Pass, delivers Rawhide. The storyline for this picture is above average but not outstanding. The acting is excellent and the cast includes Tyrone Power, Jack Elam, Susan Heyward, Hugh Marlowe, and Dean Jagger."You can't argue with a gun."I DVR most Tyrone Power films and was excited to see this since I haven't seen many Power westerns. This was definitely above average due to its interesting plot and solid acting; however, this isn't an instant classic or on par with the Clint Eastwood gems. I do recommend seeing this once but wouldn't add it to my DVD collection."I ain't cured of women yet."Grade: B-
