Peter P (ca) wrote: Very cookie cutter, my daughters loved it but it seems to me that the stories are making less sense and as long as they put fairy wings on things they think it will sell.

Matt B (au) wrote: Every frame in Terry Gilliam's Tideland is magnificent to look at, but MY GOD this movie's depressing. And ugly. And boring. The little girl, Jodelle Ferland (God bless her), is pretty terrible.

Mr D (kr) wrote: The second best one in the Leprechaun series. In still like "Leprechaun in space" the best. Fuck all those critics who say the chronology of the movie doesn't make sense. Just fuck them.

Stuart F (br) wrote: A common problem that plagues comedies is to use dramas as a benchmark for what is deemed "good". Despite the low budget, Orgazmo largely satisfies its target demo through much of the risqu silliness that launched Trey Parker and Matt Stone to acclaim. Like a home movie where each person tries to crack up the other, Orgazmo delivers not because of some prolific plot, "tour de force" acting, or groundbreaking cinematography but because it's a casual comedy that doesn't take itself too seriously and pushes the boundaries. If you're using Citizen Cane or The Godfather to compare this with then let loose, try to enjoy yourself, and take this for what it is.

Ali W (au) wrote: My alltime favourite...The movie does the book justice...(Dance of the Infidels) and the haunting accompaniment of Dexter Gordon on sax throughout creates a moving true depiction of a troubled, genius's life, and the trials and tribulations of being a black musician during that time.

Adrian Z (kr) wrote: Harrowing account of the kidnapping and torture of student activists during the Argentinean dictatorship of the 70s. Emotional performances and a sometimes stirring soundtrack create affecting moments that border, but stop short of melodrama.

Wayne K (ru) wrote: A witty, snappy and above all hilarious satire on the grind of office work and labouring in a job you hate simply for the pay check and nothing else. Mike Judge makes an impressive live-action debut, utilises the strengths of his actors and picking apart the gripes of menial office workers who are constantly berated for the most trivial of errors and receive no thanks whatsoever for the things they achieve. The laughs are quite unevenly spread, with the first 30 minutes containing the funniest jokes and character moments. The rest of it isn't dull by any means, but it never matches its comedic quality. I really enjoyed the performances, the concept, the jokes and the fact that, while it may take a few strange turns, it stays relatively faithful to its core values. Definitely worth a watch.
