Rasheed T (fr) wrote: Visually appealing and excellence story nevertheless. A reminder on why Superman is truly a superhero to be recognized!

Matthew R (gb) wrote: Perhaps a little overt in it's message, and a comment on war rather than anyone's involvement in it in particular. Eye-opening in some ways, but it's message is slightly shrouded by the obvious agenda. Not a movie you enjoy, but a kind of film that needs to be made once in a while.

Chris T (ru) wrote: "Uwe Boll's classic school violence movie that even Boll haters love - and if they say any differently they're lying or haven't seen it." - Joshua B.I can assure you neither of those two assurances apply to me. I rather wish the second did.

Paul J (us) wrote: The first half is highly enjoyable and the stellar cast is a joy to watch. A shame that the 2nd half of the film doesn't live up to our expectations.

Anne F (fr) wrote: Terence Davies portrays memories of the hard childhood of himself and his siblings with the use of music and flashbacks. The 'memories' look like memories - I don't know enough about film to know how he did that. He shows other people's pleasant remebrances of his father, who was a violent man to his family and Davies' commetnary on the dvd is well worth listening to - he laughs about childhood memories and obviously remembers much of it very fondly.

Anthony I (us) wrote: One of those movies that you need to see at least once. Godard is one of the fathers of modern cinema, and Breathless is one of the biggest catalysts that influenced it's formation. Whether or not you find this movie interesting is beside the point. It's commendable simply due to how it challenges every convention in film up to that point. Jump cuts abound, and 4th walls come tumbling down. Whenever you see a movie become self-aware of itself, you can thank Godard, and Breathless. For me, it's self-awareness is what makes it so enjoyable, and cool for me. The couple in this movie are like the first instances of "hipsters". Everything about this movie is sexy, and awesome. Now, I need to fully catch up on my Godard.
