Michael R (mx) wrote: there was this completely different movie in mind from when I borrowed this. No blurb but quotes from critics so I didn't know what to expect. About half way in was when things turned the other way from a boring (waste of my time) film to unexpected (it can't be) reaction. It definitely got my attention but it took too long to do so.

Jan D (br) wrote: Hard boiled 70s thriller from "Rolling Thunder" director John Flynn. Robert Duvall plays Earl Macklin, an ex-con seeking revenge on a bunch of midwestern mobsters for his brothers death. The movie is filled to the brim with terrific character actors like Joe Don Baker, Karen Black, Robert Ryan and Bill McKinney. What makes this movie great is Flynn's low-key, non-bullshit directorial approach. The "Outfit" is a minimalistic and amoral film to say the least, but that is also it's strength.

Kevin B (gb) wrote: I really really lied this movie a lot! It is like watching teenagers on screen! The dialogue is right and the whole movie is hysterical. Some parts had me laughing so hard! First off Jonah Hill is fantastic, but I really loved Michael Cera in it! He really knows how to do comedy, he has awkward comedy and his timing is amazing and he had me laughing out loud so many times it was great! Also Seth Rogen and Bill Hader we're hysterical as cops! This movie is a hysterical movie about teenagers, anyone who loves great comedies has to see this, just make sure you are okay with comedies that are very vulgar!

Laurie T (de) wrote: An unnecessary remake, though the chemistry is good between Cruz and Cruise. Carmen Diaz and Kurt Russell do interesting things with their roles. Cruise is not allowed to become truly disfigured, and is at his best when he's running down the hallways or jumping off a tall building. Give me Eduardo Noriega any day.
