Jillian L (jp) wrote: This was interesting. What was done really well was the ambiguity of the whole situation. Throughout the course of the movie, you end up questioning whether the cult leader, Maggie (a great performance from Brit Marling) is what she really says she is. Obviously, you go into it thinking that she is a fraud. But as the movie progresses, you start to question things, at the same times the characters do. I enjoyed Christopher Denham and Nicole Vicius as the leads, they both did a really nice job. I didn't quite understand the significance or purpose of the titled numbers. I assumed they were chapters of some sort, but it didn't really add anything. Also, one of the most interesting characters, a little girl named Abigail, isn't expounded upon as much as I would have liked. I admit that this may have been on purpose, but I definitely wanted more. The whole movie is a really interesting and different look at cults and how they affect the people involved. I was engaged the whole time.

Jerry K (ru) wrote: At the half way point of the film and I am seriously considering turning it off. Should it pick up I shall adjust the star rating... It managed to save it's self from only one star by providing a very cheesy feel good ending. A well produced film, unfortunately for a Brit sense of humour it bombs, but then I never liked the Office.

Lui L (ca) wrote: It is girl business, but don't see it as childish. It can be so heavy that after watching it you can't really relieve if you are not ready to accept the truth. In the years before the film was made compensated business is a hot social issue in Japan. Adult labeled those compensated girls as greed and bad. They viewed them as material girl. Adult sighed that the social culture had gone bad and the social value of the new generation was so low. Through the film you can feel that they are surrounded by danger and they have no shelter. Every man wants to have relation with them. Every step they take there are men hunting for them. They have to face it all by themselves. They behave stronger and more smarter than those adults. Adults, especially men, no matter what their roles are in the society, are evil. In this short period of time they experience friendship and change of life attitude. Through this 24 hours portrayed in the film: you can find some of the hidden truth inside Japan.

Promise of a better day. Promise of a greater hope. Promise of a new tomorrow. This particular aura can be found in the gait of a beautiful girl. In her smile, in her soul, the way she makes every rotten little thing about life seem like it's going to be okay. One of my all time favorite movies.

Supes S (ag) wrote: Best superhero animated movie, EVER! Hands down! The story of Bruce Wayne and Andrea Beaumont in this movie is amazing. We get to see Bruce Wayne BEFORE he becomes the masked vigilante which I think they did a great work. The soundtrack, the directing, and the overall story is pure perfection!

Daniel D (gb) wrote: Well it is a bit to bizarre with someone getting choked out with hair and extending arms but it was still pretty badass. The final fight scene was between an old blind nazi and a one armed boxer, so it's out there. Some great Kung Fu choreography and it's well made. And even though one guys a nazi murderer you really don't know who to root for. My favorite part was the tournament itself though, actually really cool to see everyone's reaction, it was a great set of scenes.
