Robert Carlisle and Oyanka Cabezas work magic in this sad and funny film, what with the big London bus and the war scenes along with the humour brought in regularly, Carla's Song is a must for all Ken Loach followers

A bit boring, really

One of my all time favorite movies. In her smile, in her soul, the way she makes every rotten little thing about life seem like it's going to be okay. This particular aura can be found in the gait of a beautiful girl. Promise of a new tomorrow. Promise of a greater hope. Promise of a better day. She can make you feel high full of the single greatest commodity known to man - promise. "A beautiful girl can make you dizzy, like you've been drinking Jack and Coke all morning

My favorite part was the tournament itself though, actually really cool to see everyone's reaction, it was a great set of scenes. And even though one guys a nazi murderer you really don't know who to root for. Some great Kung Fu choreography and it's well made. The final fight scene was between an old blind nazi and a one armed boxer, so it's out there. Well it is a bit to bizarre with someone getting choked out with hair and extending arms but it was still pretty badass

A well produced film, unfortunately for a Brit sense of humour it bombs, but then I never liked the Office. It managed to save it's self from only one star by providing a very cheesy feel good ending. . . Should it pick up I shall adjust the star rating. At the half way point of the film and I am seriously considering turning it off

I was engaged the whole time. The whole movie is a really interesting and different look at cults and how they affect the people involved. I admit that this may have been on purpose, but I definitely wanted more. Also, one of the most interesting characters, a little girl named Abigail, isn't expounded upon as much as I would have liked. I assumed they were chapters of some sort, but it didn't really add anything. I didn't quite understand the significance or purpose of the titled numbers. I enjoyed Christopher Denham and Nicole Vicius as the leads, they both did a really nice job. But as the movie progresses, you start to question things, at the same times the characters do. Obviously, you go into it thinking that she is a fraud. Throughout the course of the movie, you end up questioning whether the cult leader, Maggie (a great performance from Brit Marling) is what she really says she is. What was done really well was the ambiguity of the whole situation. This was interesting

now with a litteral and figurative Trouser Snake. . . . . The most epic and beautiful retelling of The Bard's tale

Through this 24 hours portrayed in the film: you can find some of the hidden truth inside Japan. In this short period of time they experience friendship and change of life attitude. Adults, especially men, no matter what their roles are in the society, are evil. They behave stronger and more smarter than those adults. They have to face it all by themselves. Every step they take there are men hunting for them. Every man wants to have relation with them. Through the film you can feel that they are surrounded by danger and they have no shelter. Adult sighed that the social culture had gone bad and the social value of the new generation was so low. They viewed them as material girl. Adult labeled those compensated girls as greed and bad. In the years before the film was made compensated business is a hot social issue in Japan. It can be so heavy that after watching it you can't really relieve if you are not ready to accept the truth. It is girl business, but don't see it as childish
