Frederick v (jp) wrote: A viagem exploratria a uma das luas de Jpiter revela uma forma de vida nova e assustadora. Feito como um documentrio da viagem, mostra o medo e excitao das pessoas em fazer algo que nenhum homem fez antes.

Pravesh B (ag) wrote: This one comes from Lebanon. Compelling story & it scores a lot of points due to its docu-style execution. Starts with a promise and the aftermath of the war is shocking. Well made film loses out around in the end. Camera edit & music are first rate.

Rubia (au) wrote: Visually strong and stunning and with a naturalistic plot, "The Flight of the Red Balloon" follows the characters and Pariss day-by-day life. Nothing different or huge happens... thats life just as it is. Like in "Three Times" (unfourtanely Im just beginning to know Hsiao-hsien Hous work), we see a poetically filmed slice of common life. Albert Lamorisse s "The Red Balloon" is brought into the movie by the film student baby-sitter Song who films a short film about red balloons. Im pretty sure that the first scenes where we see Simon talking to the balloon and later, alone in the metro, hiding himself from it are part of Songs film. In "The Red Balloon" Pascal takes the bus and goes alone to school, but here we clear see that Simon never stays by himself. Also, Simon is a boy of "modern times" who likes video game and stuffs alike. When he is with the other school kids at the Musee d'Orsay (to look at the Flix Vallotton's painting "Le Ballon") and suddenly turns his head up and see the red balloon seems to be the first time he really sees the balloon (and not a "fake" one of Songs film). I dont know if the boy who plays Simon is a real actor, but he talks and acts so naturally that I tend to think he is not. Speaking about acting, Juliette Binoche is simply great. With a not usual character type to her, Binoche plays Suzanne (kinda mix of her previous characters in "Jet Lag" and "Code Unkown") amazingly joyful.

James H (gb) wrote: 44/100. It's a good thing the filmmakers didn't make this a real serious film. It is clearly low budget and the acting is really really bad. There are touches of imagination, the special effects are average. The premise itself sound interesting, astronauts return to earth after a forty year mission, and earth has been taken over by wood craving aliens. Then it struck me, what outer space mission isn't on daily contact with earth? How could they be so surprised? Although the humor is welcome, it's also out of place. It was just to stupid to be enjoyed.

Jacob T (gb) wrote: This is the 13th James bound movie. I do not know why people do not like it. It is a great movie. It is better then the first 12 James bound movies. The first 12 movie of James bound are good this better. See it. The 14th part to the original James Bound series A view to a kill is a little better. This is a great film see it.

Blag O (fr) wrote: A true masterpiece and a mini series at that!.....writers take notes.

R Renee B (gb) wrote: John Wayne at his funniest, always talking to Baby, but also at one of his best as an actor. Loved this.

Ian G (ca) wrote: A difficult watch due to the over-reliance on numerous tropes, as well as Newley's quasi-irish(?) accent throughout. Disjointed plot, but with a premise of someone who can legitimately speak to a cavalcade of animals you can't expect too much.

Daniel P (it) wrote: Superb "modern warfare" drama that proceeded the flashier Eye In The Sky but is just as riveting, wobbling only slightly in sine occasionally overwritten dialogue and too-neat ending. Ethan Hawke brings a depth and nuance to his role and the direction is unfussy and focused.

Brad S (ca) wrote: Entertaining but not really my thing.

Coltin T (es) wrote: This film's foundation was neither evenly distributed nor constructed of the same material, which would have caused the entire concept to collapse if it weren't for the writers completely forgoing the laws of nature with their strange attempt of making this idea make sense. This film will satisfy you visually more than mentally.

Kyle M (br) wrote: There are funny moments and creativeness on creating a chain of unordinary events on the night of babysitting. (B+)(Full review coming soon)
