It Couldn't Happen Here
Pet Shop Boys Chris Lowe and Neil Tennant embark upon a journey across England - but which England? The movie also features some of the Pet Shop Boys' most popular records.

(it) wrote: This is a glorified Hallmark movie, featuring lines like "I wish there was a cookbook for life!" Opposites attract. Orphans change people. Seeing a cute young Abigail Breslin reminded me how nice Definitely, Maybe is. You should watch that instead.

There's dodgy dialogue and hammy acting. It's very daft indeed... and that hokum is why I quite like it. Phantoms is full of jumps and scares, gloopy deaths and an ancient evil that could have been a cousin of John Carpenter's The Thing. Entertaining nonsense.
(au) wrote: Weird initial setup, but picks up well. You get to fell the mood pretty well by the time you're midway through it. What breaks the ensemble are 3 characters: Ira and the two kidnappers. The flashbacks backstory are a bit weak, but interesting. I still recommend it, you'll like the development.

This flick is pretty much only for die hard horror fans who need to see EVERYTHING. Decent ending with the zombie hand through the face, though. That and the rat coming out of a dead womans gut.

(us) wrote: Not an accurate telling of Domino's true life, but this has a good story and the camera work is stellar with a big cast of well-knowns who provide great script and acting. Of course, Mickey Rourke plays the character he always plays and Keira Knightly is extremely hot, so I recommend this.
