Christopher P (kr) wrote: The only thing redeeming about this film is that Daniella Monet look beautiful.

Johnny G (mx) wrote: pretty predictible from the middle. a low budget slasher. its ok.

Muffin M (ca) wrote: I own this on DVD in a five movie pack along with:* The Love Bug (1969)* Herbie Rides Again (1974)* Herbie Goes To Monte Carlo (1977)* Herbie Goes Bananas (1980)

Melanie Z (jp) wrote: An underrated little movie. It actually speaks a lot of truth, which is surprising for a movie based on a doofy 1990s SNL skit. Plus, it really is funny!

Signe L (ag) wrote: Alan Rickman's voice and hands are indeed mesmerizing and incredibly erotic!

Cem Regi Pixelmannen (ca) wrote: Old flick, but it's got it's funny moments xD

Simon D (us) wrote: A small town in New Orleans, with no shortage of racist scum, investigate the killing of a local business owner. A visiting black policeman gets arrested by default of his race and then get's involved in solving the case, seemingly to try and prove a point to the local rednecks. There is a very strong message in this film which I think would have been very relevant at the time and the place. A deserving best picture winner.

Dan G (jp) wrote: One of the stronger Godard films I have seen. Every shot is beautifully composed; the white of the skies allows the trees and buildings to make a beautiful background of silhouettes in most of the outdoor shots. Claude Brasseur's performance as the charismatic Arthur is fantastic and both Sami Frey and Anna Karina give intense performances, though I did think that Karina overplayed Odile a little. The scene in the caf (C) is a highlight, Godard's use of silence is utilised in an incredibly powerful way - "A minute of silence can be a long time. A real minute of silence takes forever". The dance between Odile, Arthur and Franz that follows is a beautifully choreographed and unpolished piece of cinema.

Jameson W (fr) wrote: I loved the ending to this. The film works as a straight-forward, 100 minute long courtroom drama, but thankfully it doesn't stop there and delivers one heck of a finale thanks to multiple plot twists in quick succession during its closing 15 minutes; the film ends in style making this one of Billy Wilder's more memorable films. The screenplay is fantastic with an air-tight plot and great characters, but it also has its humorous moments. The result is a highly entertaining and fully satisfying film.

Tony K (kr) wrote: This one is pretty crazy, and jumps a lot but none the less I enjoy this one quiet a bit, I enjoy crazy. I'm thinking in my top 2 or 3 at worst of the 6.

Peter J (jp) wrote: Even better with more line fleshed out. A must before seeing Smaug.

Nik M (br) wrote: Red River benefits from a memorable score, John Wayne's performance, an excellent use of visual repetition as a narrative device, and the overall feel of a very western story. The great distances seen in the daytime are perfectly contrasted with the stirring and brooding natures of the shallow and murky night-time scenery. John Wayne does an excellent job as the conflicted, power-hungry, and ambitious figure.

Scott C (us) wrote: Extremely memorable.
