Manny C (fr) wrote: Husband-and-wife directing team Michael Tucker and Petra Epperlein simply set their cameras on the men who make up the army's 2/3 Field Artillery, known as the Gunner, and just watch and see. Their base of operations is Baghdad's Azimiya Palace, formerly occupied by Uday Hussein, son of Saddam. 'We dropped a bomb on it, now we party in it,' says one soldier. But for every time the soldier enjoy the pool in the palace, they must also contend with the raids they launch on dozens of Baghdad homes, seeking Improvised Explosive Devices and the ever-unseen enemy. All of this took place as President Bush declared major combat missions in Iraq over. Eight of the Gunners died during filming, which ended just a year before the film's release. Essential viewing.

Sami Q (kr) wrote: Mani Ratnam's briliance, Abhishek's intensity, Vivieks exuberance... the perfect combo is ready. Culcutta has been portrayed in an excellent manner. the pair of Kareena and Vivek demands special mention. Kareena of Jab We Met is an extension of Kareena of Yuva.

Reno R (de) wrote: After showcasing his skills in The Secret of the Ooze, martial artist and stuntman Ernie Reyes Jr. shows us what he can really do in this action classic made for the family. Surf Ninjas follows the adventures of Johnny and Adam, who along with their friend Iggy meet a mysterious bodyguard named Zatch (played by Ernie's real-life father) who rescues them from a ninja attack at their foster father's restaurant. Zatch tells the boys that they are Imperial princes from an island country called Pa'Tu'Sun that has been taken over by a tyrannical half-man, half-machine warlord named Colonel Chi (played by Leslie Nielsen). The boys then embark on a journey to their homeland with L.A. detective Lt. Spence (Tone-Loc) and a lovely princess named Ro-May (Hawaiian beauty Kelly Hu), whom Johnny is betrothed too and they prepare for the battle to hopefully liberate Pa'Tu'Sun from Colonel Chi's clutches.Slam-bang martial arts, 90s style humor and a rock/rap style soundtrack make Surf Ninjas a Saturday night treat for anyone!

Russell F (it) wrote: Factory Girl is the biographical and truncated story of 'Warhol Superstar' Edie Sedgwick, whose fleeting moment in the reflected glare of Andy Warhol's media glory became the prototype for today's celebrity culture. The film itself is a perfect depiction of world of art and fashion within the sixties and a truthful insight into the life and scenes of Edie and the factory days. This is a film that accentuates the beauty and the ugliness in human art. Factory Girl captures the shallow, transient and utterly facile world of Warhol in the sixties and in another way it sums up the emptiness and tragedy of the Hollywood dream machine too. However, Factory Girl doesn't ask any deep questions nor does it pretend to be something it's not. It's entertaining and worth watching for two very good performances. Sienna Miller does a wonderful job as the fated Edie Sedgwick; a beautiful girl valued only for her beauty and quirks while, Guy Pearce beautifully and harshly portrays vapid pop culture icon, Andy Warhol. This is a beautiful crafted film that is itself a piece of art and an underrated expos of pop culture. You're the boss, applesauce.

Akshay M (de) wrote: Intelligent and haunting but in a good way. Ghost world is a unique teen comedy-drama with surprisingly mysterious characters and tender feelings. Thora birch was excellent as an troubled and fed up teenager.

Parker R (au) wrote: Al Pacino and Matthew McConaughey give devoted performances as excepted, but it has a watered down sports-like plot that may only pertain to a limited audience.

jay n (ca) wrote: Good special effects for the period and some amusing scenes at the beginning but the film is widely uneven.

Armando B (kr) wrote: This is one of the worst camera recordings ever. Not a bad idea but just spoil the whole movie. This isn't a regular movie, its a bad attempt at a documentary its done horribly. One of the worst movies out there don't see it. So for this being bad as I just said...and not being horror movie at all...this genre needs to get better in my opinion...As that being said I give "The Amitville Haunting"an F.
