Roy S (ag) wrote: The story of a shy actress who has to dig deep and transform into another person to satisfy a dictatorial director. Pretty much like Black Swan but not as good. There are a few differences; it is about acting on stage instead of ballet, it lacks the hallucinations, and it's in German. It is still reasonably compelling and well-acted.
Andy Shaheen S (ru) wrote: Just as good and detailed as the book.
Michael S (br) wrote: Despite what looks like a hilarious cast, I have no idea why this move is considered a comedy. Most of the "comedy" is awkwardly funny chuckle moments, but even those are far and few between. Overall, just a very boring movie.
Matthew D (fr) wrote: It's charming but it's too sweety-sweet for my, well everybody's, taste.

Steve S (mx) wrote: *1/2 (out of four) Dull comedy with John Malkovich at his craziest self and a scrpt that is in need of some serious overhauling. Malkovich plays a scientist who has created a robotic double of himself that he hopes can be used at various events. The problem is he has no personality himself so he hires Ann Magnussen to teach the robot how to become charming. She was pretty good, but the movie is mostly a waste.
Anatoly S (ca) wrote: A movie about space vampires(!) that tries too hard to imitate British monster movies. Too long and too convoluted to enjoy. About the only thing that stands out is that for a third of the flick the monster is a naked girl.

Andy F (fr) wrote: Fiercly entertaining entry in the series slotted in among the weaker contemporary war stories. This is pure Holmes hokum with all of the best clichs on show and the best atmosphere the series had conjured up since Baskervilles.

Ryan V (kr) wrote: This sequel to Creature From The Black Lagoon finds another team attempting to capture the Gill-Man. This group succeeds, and the beast is then confined to an aquarium for study, exhibition, and experimentation. One of these "experiments" is to display food to the Creature and then shock him with a cattle prod when he ignores commands to not take it. Naturally, everyone except the audience is surprised when the Gill-Man freaks out, escapes from his prison, and starts killing humans. The novelty of the first film has worn off, but Revenge of the Creature is still a fun and somewhat corny treat for vintage horror buffs.
