This movie is a fantastic portrayal of the man's life and one of my all-time favorite pictures. Pat O'Brien is fantastic as Rockne and how could you forget Ronald Reagan as George Gipp? Much of the acting is quite bad, but it's that classic kind of delightfully cheesy 1940's style. It's classic cheese. If you're a fan of Notre Dame, at all, this is a must see.

It's an incredible story -- but all I could think watching young Christian Bale for 2+ hours is: "This is where Batman truly begins!" (Seriously though... what if after the war is over, Jamie Graham and his rich parents decide to start a new life and move to Gotham City, changing their last name to "Wayne"...)Grade: B+

Noble effort though from someone who clearly at least strives to make sense of fundamental human issues, which should be applauded in this day and age IMO.The song during the final scene reminds me how wonderful his ear for music is...shame there was not a little more of that on display throughout the film, the way it was in Garden State.
