Upon coming home, she then catches her husband cheating on her with a young female worker who works for him. On another side of Denmark is Philip, who is still grieving his wife after a year, who happens to run a fruit and vegetable produce company. They're going to link to each other since Patrick's son and Ida's daughter are going to be married in Italy. I liked the beginning, but the movie becomes more embarrassing as the movie is progressing which part of the experience is like "The Celebration". You know, when it's darkest and most embarrassing secrets are revealed at the table and so forth. 2 out of 4 stars

(gb) wrote: An inspiring film showing events before and during the Russian revolution as seen through the eyes of a typical town. The film subtly puts forward the message that all average people are brothers be they Russians or Germans and that the real enemy is not each other but instead is the people in power. For an early sound film the sound effects were quite something at times mocking the folly of war.

(gb) wrote: Let me say something first before I get to the regular review, this movie sucks a lot because their is not a lot of Emilio estevez, yeah he's in the movie for 2 minutes but still 2 minutes of a 1 hour 50 minute movie. He's supposed to be the coach not a freakin lawyer for the ducks but the coach for the ducks. Man it makes me so angry that he's in it for a so little amount of time because without him in it for a long time it just ruins the movie. The best part of this entire movie is the end when emilio estevez makes one last cameo to see that he was right that the ducks would be good on their own, yes that is true but still the movie sucks without him. He's on the fudging poster of the movie and everything. They replaced him with the new garbage coach, if they make another movie like this one but without Emilio estevez I will hate the franchise and write a sharply worded email to Disney but it's 2016 and so far no 4th movie, hallelujah. The people who came up with the idea of emilio estevez leaving, I'm disappointed with him, but thank you not really for ruining the mighty ducks for me.

(es) wrote: A brilliant gem of a movie that flopped at the time of release, and was all but forgotten, garnering a mild cult status in more recent times.Though understandably too 'wtf' for its audience, modern viewers should recognize the brilliance of this collaboration between giants: John Huston, spoofing the genre he himself had made omnipresent with movies such as the Maltese Falcon, and hereby closing his long period of making question movies (where the actual object of the quest is completely irrelevant, a MacGuffin)Truman Capote helped on the script, and clearly had some fun with it too. Humphrey Bogart, star of many a questing movie, parodying his own image from them. Jennifer Jones, a blonde version no less, plays the typical Huston girl, except this one's parents were possibly cousins ; Gina Lollobrigida in her American debut, taking the first step towards becoming The Sexiest Woman on Earth; and veteran character actors such as Peter Lorre and Robert Morley add tremendous depth to plywood-roles. Even Stephen Sondheim worked on a movie set for the first time here, though be it as a clapper boy, which is a job I don't know, and sounds slightly filthy, but let's assume he was the guy that yelled Take 5 or whatever. It's hard to 'box up' this film: comedy? Crime drama? Adventure? Romance? Parody? Actual Quest movie? Political commentary? It's easily all, and none, of the above. The one thing that's certain is that you should have been watching it already by now.

(jp) wrote: A romantic comedy in which a typical dry British sense of humour meets the quirky and crazy American outlook on life. Very funny and at the same time as comforting as a cup of hot chocolate on a winter day. And of course Colin Firth is brilliant... yet again...
(fr) wrote: After reading the books and seeing the first movie, I had much higher hopes for this film. The acting and special effects were good, but the plot was underdeveloped and strayed too far away from the already in place story line in the book. As well, the actors are much too old to portray the supposedly thirteen year olds of the story.
