George P (au) wrote: This film shows that scouse football hooligans can be Gay too, but they are not particulairily good at it. Inspired by the cheery sound of Joy Division these two generally unlikable lads try and discover if they are gay or not. Elvis in my opinion was Gay, he showed this by looking sad a lot and not shagging women, Paul was performed by such a bad actor I found it hard to believe anything he did in the film, I dont often notice bad acting but this guy was a combination of ham, fist and wooden acting floated on a total lack of charisma. The fights are too short but the nice use of stanley knives keeps the interest ticking over and gets an extra star. The ending was too confused and rushed to leave you with any fee ling of completion. Note. It is always the leader of the firm who rushes in and shots "Come on then" its a very important job.

Kelsey S (es) wrote: I was really looking foward to this movie and came away mostly satisfied. So, yeah, some stuff here and there could have been tweaked but the main actress has chraisma and charm and the story is creative and entertaining.

Shawn S (au) wrote: This is fun and well-made.

Jen T (au) wrote: Not bad. A decent interpretation of the Henry James novel "The Turn of the Screw." I loved the novel in high school and I think this does a good job to portray some of the depth from James's novel. Read the book and see what you think.

Dan M (nl) wrote: Very strange movie that starts off sluggishly, then takes a very unexpected turn. As always, Toni Collette gives a very powerful performance.

Jay S (us) wrote: One of the best movies of Amitabh Bachchan and Bollywood version of Scarface. Big B won national award for this film. Highly recommended.

Lindsay A (kr) wrote: Well-done (unusual, poignant, funny, erotic) film about a lesbian relationship in the 1950s.

Daniel P (us) wrote: The best female lead ever, and Toshiro Mifune, well he is the god of awesomeness.

Alex W (fr) wrote: If you like womens legs THIS IS THE MOVIE FOR YOU. I was very surprised at how small of a role ginger rogers had, this must have been during her rise to fame. Dorothy Brock is great as the fresh unsure doe eyed dancer who gets thrust into the spotlight at the last minute. lots of clever dialog in this movie, half which i didn't get because of the different culture and slang at the time. Unlike a musical that intagrates the singing and dancing as spontaneous and part of the story most of these numbers are practice for the show, then the show itself. Lots of great catchy songs in this film guaranteed to get stuck in your head.

Alison P (jp) wrote: My least favorite of all the Hudson-Day comedies. Rock Hudson think he is dying when he isn't, and of course Doris Day being an adult would never be able to take care of day-to-day man's concerns like mortgages without her husband around, so the emphasis is on finding her a new husband to take care of her, not to keep her company when she is going to be so terribly lonely and grieving. Still, you can't deny the attraction (on screen anyway) between the Day-Hudson pair, and Tony Randall really steals the show with his supporting performance.I'd just as soon rewatch Pillow Talk.
