Joshua B (ru) wrote: I absolutely love this movie with all my heart. I think it is a great, great movie and i do not like everything that comes along. i can not believe all the negativity on here about this movie. so many people got it so wrong. I guess some, excuse me, MOST people don't know a great movie when they see one. Many people hate on country music tho so that may have something to do with it...not surprised.
Joe S (gb) wrote: Ted Mosby, the architect.Josh Radnor is an actor I am beginning to like very much. He has a lot of potential and from what I have seen so far, he is a very talented actor who has the ability to steal his audience with any part that he plays. The part he plays in this movie amounts to what I mentioned above. Radnor shows that he is able to bring in other supporting actors with their own stories, seperate onto different tangents and make everything connect in the end. The talent from Radnor is reflected in this movie. worth a watch or maybe more
David A (es) wrote: Dog TagsExcellent performance from newcomer Paul Preiss who plays Nate, on a life long mission to find his father. Director Damion Dietz does a fine job of keeping the audience into the minds of both Preiss and Bart Fletcher who plays Andy who cannot forget his love for a marine in his past. At first I thought there was a bit too much character development with the other characters but everything fits nicely in the end. I also thought that the scenario of how the two men meet could have been more creative. That entire character could have been scraped in favor of the 2 simply meeting on the road. Wonderful film about 2 men confronting their pasts, finding their path in life and the valuable moments they share with each other on the way. 4 stars.
Gabriel Z (ru) wrote: better than I thought it would be I guess, but not something I recommend. There are way better movies dealing with this exact same thing. Pretty much all of the movies that are exactly like this are better actually. The performances are mostly decent though. This movie is well cast.

Deadly Night S (mx) wrote: Just way too much repetitive dialogue. How many times can I watch two brothers argue about whether one of them is seeing something paranormal or not? The few scary images here were not enough to hold my interest. Can't believe I made it to the end.

Byron B (nl) wrote: Another recently discovered and restored silent picture. There are a few scenes that are beyond restoration and the chemically disintegrating film becomes visible in splotches. There is an informative Dutch documentary about the restoration on the DVD. Evidently it was not the norm for two stars of such magnitude to co-star in a film at this time, but Gloria Swanson and Rudolph Valentino did for this romance. This movie was also based on an Elinor Glyn novel. Theodora Fitzgerald (Swanson) is pushed to marry an old millionaire by her step-sisters so the family will be financially comfortable. Her father (Francis) says she can refuse, but for his sake she agrees to marry Josiah Brown (Bolder). From their small seaside English town Josiah and Theodora travel to the mountains in Switzerland and fancy hotels in Paris. Fate keeps throwing Theodora and Lord Hector Bracondale (Valentino) together since Theodora's new husband is not a young or active man. This is the sort of trashy story that Glyn wrote, the young couple fall in love, but in order for them to be together, she must be unfaithful to her marriage. A handful of other supporting characters make appearances and these wealthy society people hop around Europe without much concern. The scenery and lifestyle are intriguing to observe nevertheless. Later in the plot a jealous woman switches letters that Theodora writes to Josiah and Hector. With their secret found out, Josiah decides to make the dangerous trip to Northern Africa for an archeological expedition. Theodora, her father, and Hector rush to try to find Josiah before it is too late. Romantic intrigue played between two worldwide celebrities of their day caused this movie to be a big success.
