Mike P (ag) wrote: The classic anime directed by Katsuhiro Otomo and written by him and Izo Hashimoto. This cyberpunk Tokyo is filled with dark ruins and delinquents but also powerful beings that the government tries to hold power from. Tetsuo is one of those beings and Kaneda and other friends have to stop him from unsealing the power of Akira that will wreak havoc through this futuristic Tokyo. This animated film has all the action, violence, and story any anime fans would need. The characters revolve throughout the story getting involved as much as possible. The designs and structure of old school Tokyo mixed with the futuristic 80s theme gives a spectacular atmosphere. Bloody stuff happen in this story but this is not the best case of this movie yet, the real fight comes in play later with Tetsuo's ability. The soundtrack has the best vibes you can get from a classic Japanese composer. You want the best cyberpunk feature with lots of action, well here it is!

Ash M (kr) wrote: Yes, Sean is a bit old in this one comparing to the first ones he made, but the movie is quite good.

Dustin G (ca) wrote: A remake of Rio Bravo through and through. The town looks the same, the bank looks the same. John Wayne plays the same character. Robert Mitchum replaces Dean Martin, James Caan replaces Ricky Nelson. There's even a Stumpy in this one named Bull. Thankfully, despite its complete lack of originality, El Dorado is still a fine, entertaining, even hard nosed Western that's a lot of fun and an easy watch and sports an amazing performance from Robert Mitchum. Rio Bravo is easily the better movie overall though.

Tyler H (ru) wrote: I should hate this movie. I should. Every film-buff bone in my body is telling me I shouldn't like it. Everything about it should make me relinquish and curl up into the fetal position. But I don't. I like this movie. I enjoy just kicking back and watching this flick. There is nothing intelligent or redeeming about this movie, but I like it nonetheless. It's a guilty pleasure, really. Watch it for laughs, action, cool cars, and girls. It's the perfect example of a teenage boy movie. Solely off of that I shouldn't like it, but I do anyways.
