David M (de) wrote: This movie really plays true to the whole guilty TV pleasure; "you are a woman & will suffer because this is a lifetime film, oh, & men are awful" that Lifetime loves to cash in on. Overall it's nothing impressive but as a rape-revenge film I thought it was interestingly done with a satisfying ending & solid performance from Maria Bello.

Unfortunately for him he ends up being possessed by some evil shit and spends the film trying to fight whatever is trying to take over his soul. Low budget horror with some predictable and nonsensical moments but it will definitely scare the non horror fans, for me it is just not scary, just noisy and a little silly. Definitely some good ideas, could have worked a lot better than what the finished product, budgets and restraints will do that. I'd be interested in what the director does next though.

Bill B (de) wrote: The set-up is pretty common, the country bumpkin type comes form a rural area tot eh big city, where he runs afoul of crooks and other scumbags, and in this film his 'merantau' (a custom in which a young man must prove his manhood away from his home and family) becomes helping a young woman who's thrown into the world of human trafficking. The action is pretty amazing and will definitely require a couple viewings to take in all the fast paced fight scenes.Well worth a look.
Cheska U (es) wrote: It's a ridiculous film. It's mainly about SEX which is not funny because the film is just gross.. Extremely not good movie. Michael Cera is a talented actor, this is just a wrong choice of movie to be in. .0.5/10
Andy P (gb) wrote: While Gosling and Epps both deliver outstanding performances, the film itself offers very little in way of reward and I found it to be a very hollow and slow moving exercise in typically indie negativity.
