(ca) wrote: Brilliant! Simply brilliant. Bette Davis is phenomenal is The Little Foxes. The cinematography is outstanding. When Horace is limping up the stairs to get to his medicine, the camera focuses on Regina's face to not her emotion as she neglects care for her rich husband. This is my first Bette Davis picture. I really can't wait to see All About Eve. The Little Foxes, I give you a 100%.

The concept was a great nostalgic throwback to the 70's grindhouse theaters. I could not help but relive those memories. Both Rodriguez and Tarantino crafted two excellent films with a ton of style and action. Planet Terror is a cool zombie flick that rivals some of the best. Death Proof is a great suspense filled/muscle car chase action film. The acting and stories for both are top notch. The soundtrack is equally cool and compliments both nicely. Equally entertaining are the film trailers for other films. I cannot say enough about these films. Unfortunately, when it was first released, for some reason people didn't get it. I guess those in the know can always spot what is cool and worthwhile. Lastly, I love the fact that it is a double feature! Hey, two for the price of one!

(it) wrote: Tear-squeezing drama about an old playboy (Richard Gere) who plays drag-and-drop with young girls. This time the girl happens to have a terminal decease, which makes parting too hard to make. There's nothing original in the plot, it's just that I find something personal in the movie. In my opinion, syrupy Richard Gere fits wonderfully into the role and contrasts with the young and fragile Winona Ryder, but the bitter Elaine Stritch is best-performing actress here. Views of New York in Autumn are wonderful and soundtrack with Billy Holliday's hits create a comfortable atmosphere.P.S.: Just saw the original, English version of the film and negative remarks started to sound more reasonable. The film required a good sound editor. If they took more time getting rid of the background noises and making actors speak clearly, it would make a great difference. Surprisingly, a foreign language version is better than the original.

(nl) wrote: Richard Franklin's love Hitchcock results in a surprisingly classy, suspenseful and funny road thriller. Definitely one of those yester-year thrillers that still very much works today and is the right sort of suspense flick that we need more of now.
(gb) wrote: The story is so like Camille and I'm so impressed. This is a great love story. Not only is the love line between Roy and Myra beautiful, the friendship of Kitty and Myra is so touching too.I love this movie, it didn't involve much scenes and people, but it already describe a war time love. When all seems so well, tragic comes, and that's why the story is successful.I love Vivien Leigh, she's so lovely and sad and innocent.
