Chris R (br) wrote: Like a road film of old. Nice bikes, beautiful surroundings and a nice musical soundtrack. The tale of Robert Wolf is one of loss, justice, redemption and love. With real meaning behind it and what happens on reservations

Alberto A (ag) wrote: With The Dance of Reality, Alejandro Jodorowsky invites the audience to a poetic surrealist journey into the bizarre and grotesque corners of his childhood in Tocopilla, Chile. What is so special about this film is that it's an imaginative piece of art we can easily see he made for himself, not for the audience, only Alejandro can fully understand everything shown on the screen, and I believe that's what art is all about. The audience is only a silent guest, we were there only to embrace, understand or maybe just take a look into his perception of reality during his childhood. The cast is amazing; they knew when to exaggerate and when no to. The cinematography, the production design, the score and the script are amazing. A great symbolic autobiographical film from a director that appears to like giving meaning to things, which reminded me a little bit to Carlos Reygadas's Post Tenebras Lux.

Thomas A (ca) wrote: A bit long-winded, as it took more than 60 minutes before the story plot starts to the point. Nonetheless, "Glorious 39" does have its dramatic events.

Peter A (de) wrote: A humbling portrait of a brilliant artist that continues to inspire both musicians and fans.

Brian P (de) wrote: I was really interested in this movie when I read about it. It sounded surreal and daring. Now I know better. While it was very entertaining in spots, I just felt the movie missed it's own point. A health inspector who already has some problems, is possibly infected with mad cow disease by her more than creepy brother. I did like some of the parts where you weren't sure if she is imagining these things or if she is messed up by the mad cow or if she has always been messed up and now taking it out on everyone. She also goes on a little kung fu "Kill Bill" death spree. Sarah Lassez actually gives a great performance. She reminded me of Holly Hunter at times actually. Although this movie did have the creepiest thing I have ever seen in a movie: a girl pleasuring herself to Walter Koenig (Chekov from Star Trek) on TV. That and when he went down on her have got to be worse than "Faces of Death" ever will be.

Sarah G (br) wrote: This is my most favourite film! It's dated, slightly cheesy, and filled with gem lines such as "This ain't New York, it's the Bronx". The breakdancing is true to its natural form without being campy like Breakin'/Breakin' 2. I love this film!!

Warren S (br) wrote: An emotional and powerful drama that is very well done and well acted. A moving story.
