Richard D (br) wrote: Edward G. Robinson stars as a law professor who agrees to head a task force fighting extortion rackets. Only after taking the job does he realize that the entire system he's part of is set up to make sure he can't succeed. It's good to see Robinson move away from a steady stream of tough guy roles and move to the other side of the law, but this is an awfully lightweight film pretty much propped up by him and some reliable character actors (Otto Kruger and Marc Lawrence as the principal heavies).
