Nicholas C (de) wrote: I have a Husky that could be a twin to one of the black and white ones portrayed in this movie. ,The behavior of my Husky is astoundingly similar to the behavior of the dogs in this movie. Because of this I found the movie especially interesting and heart tugging.

Rogier J (es) wrote: The concept has great potential. Especially, the mix of all languages spoken. However, most great movie require a plot of some sort. Code 46 did not have one.

Edith N (br) wrote: I don't even know where to begin on this one. I watched it for two reasons--one is that it features Eddie Izzard. The other is that a production of the play is put on in Tam Lin, one of my favourite books. In the book, the characters complain that the story does not, in so many words, make any sense, and I quite agree. All the characters, or enough of 'em, are named after their primary attribute--Our Hero, looney that he is, is Vindice, "vengeance." His chaste sister is Castiza; she is pursued by Eddie Izzard as Lussrioso. Lust. I can only assume there's some allegory I'm missing because of it. The whole thing's a bit silly, actually. Vindice's dead wife was killed (the movie does it in a pretty spectacular fashion, with the poisoning of almost the entire wedding party) by, we are left to believe, the Duke's entire family. So Vindice is going to kill them all. This involves ingratiating himself to Lussurioso, playing the pandar who will bring Castiza to Lussurioso's bed. (As you can tell from her name, things don't go as he hoped, there.) The makers of the film have chosen to set the whole thing in a futuristic Liverpool. Which doesn't make a lot of sense, but nothing about the thing really does. Including the makeup people wear in the future. The performances are pretty good, given the material they have to work with, but the material is pretty lousy. This would not be my first choice of a play of that era to make into a movie. I don't know what would be; it's not really an era I know a whole lot about. But I'd've kept looking for something better.

Malcolm L (de) wrote: Actually i enjoyed this Film. Funny light hearted stuff. Gwyneth Paltrow is so funny . , What more could you ask. romance , comedy with a twist of truth

mark d (mx) wrote: The film is a voyage through Italian cinema history, marking influential films for Scorsese and particularly covering the Italian neorealism period.

Adam P (kr) wrote: Terrible sequel. Only grabs the extra 1/3 star for the strangely high amount of celebritites in this film.

Mithun G (nl) wrote: I was never that much into grunge apart from Peal Jam but this is still a very cool doc.

Helena M (de) wrote: More a documentary movie about the 'old golden times'.

David B (au) wrote: This movie was a bummer. I was hoping for full-on Mad Scientist horror, and instead got a mediocre murder-mystery (with dreadful comedy relief) until the last 10 minutes, when the cool mad scientist stuff FINALLY kicks in. Okay, though, and I appreciated the completely gratuitious beach scene with a swimsuited Fay Wray. (The two-color technicolor was cool also.)
