Daniel M (es) wrote: It is one of the best animated superhero films since The Incredibles. A conventional but fun, action-packed and heartfelt story, great humour, excellent animation and memorable characters. Must-watch for everyone else including Disney fans and superhero comic book fans. 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Vicky V (nl) wrote: A lovely little BBC flick that balances drama and comedy really well. Hynes is almost unrecognizable from her Spaced days, whileTennant shows he can actually play a restrained, buttoned-down driving instructor just as well as an over the top and fun-loving time lord. By the end you really root for all concerned. Recommended if you can find it.

Rodney W (it) wrote: A great dose of Lovecraftian horror and gory makeup, albeit by way of Limburger-quality acting and digital effects. Still, enjoyable for what it is.

Alexander C (br) wrote: An interesting exploration of how an actor can change his mind about political interests based upon the pursuit of fame, national identity and success. Not sure if the ending was an ending but I can see what they hoped to achieve. Not sure if the film is against or for National Socialism but they do show the movement as prominently confident and strong yet suppressive regarding anything outside their ideology/politics. The film is less stage and more his personal life and standing.

The story from the remake is completely different from this, the racers are not inmates and has a political tone. Campy as it looks, the story is amusing. The racers don't battle each other out right away like in the remake, but they actually get some points through road kills meaning killing people along the highway. LOL. Insane as it may sound, it's still a good flick to watch.

Tim S (br) wrote: Well, this is definitely another case of a movie title that leads you astray. Chain Gang Women features two women - both of whom aren't in a chain gang and neither of which are the lead characters in the story. The movie's actually about a couple of guys who break out of prison and they're on the run from the police. Along the way there's rape, murder and general crazyness. The movie is flat-out awful, but in that "so bad it's good" way. There's nothing too redeemable about it, but there's some dialogue and line readings that had me laughing out loud at times. It's sort of a sexploitation movie, even though there's only one really lengthy sex scene in it, but it does play on that a bit. Along with the generic country and bluegrass score, it's definitely one you want to put on to have a few laughs with. It can be boring at times, but stay patient and you'll be rewarded with terrible lines like "I'll break us outta here. I know what I'm doing. I've done it twice before!"

Matt M (it) wrote: Martin and Lewis star as a smooth and a whacky sailor always getting into all sorts of trouble. Nice fast pace and good solid rhythm, though this kind of comedy is always more a required taste, and anyone expecting anything that goes beyond the usual little plot should look elsewhere.
