Jumping Jacks

Jumping Jacks

Hap Smith, nightclub entertainer, has a new act since his former partner Chick Allen joined the army: with lovely new partner Betsy Carter, Hap plays a clownish parody of a soldier. Meanwhile, Chick is organizing a soldier show at Fort Benning and finds he needs his old partner's help. To get onto the base, Hap impersonates a hapless real soldier, Dogface Dolan; but circumstances force them to prolong the masquerade, creating an increasingly tangled Army-sized snafu.

Nightclub comic Hap Smith assumes the identity of another soldier so he can tour army bases in a revue with his ex-partner Chuck Allen. . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

Kristina C (es) wrote: The label 'Bollywood' movie normally causes me to turn off as i assume there will be hours of dancing but this film is a must see. Ranbir portrayal of the deaf mute man is comic genius and the Charlie Chaplin influence is clear. The second reason to see the film is the inspired performance of Priyanka playing the woman with autism. What would seem to be on the surface unusual subject combinations works to become one of the most moving films seen. The plot with the kidnapping was a bit hazy but do not let this put you off.

Bill R (mx) wrote: Rhys Ifan just annoyed me. I didn't think his performace was credible or sincere and he reminded totally of the idiot role he had in Notting Hill. Only difference was the wig he wore in this movie. As an actor he sux. As a movie it sux. The director was clearly on drugs.

Elex M (br) wrote: other than having to read subtitles it was a good movie. the story developed at a good pace and the characters were interesting. very European with all of the nudity, but it was used to make a point in the scene and not just there as eye candy

Justin A (ca) wrote: Lame and by the numbers. A lot of people gave this movie a lot of flak back when it came out and while it isn't very good, it's not the worst thing either. It's just forgettable and dull. It mostly strays from horror and becomes more action oriented as the characters shoot at the witch and run around in different set pieces while lights explode. It just felt a bit uncertain of what it wanted to be. There aren't really any scares other than the jump scares and loud noises. It just seems like there was more potential with the base material they had, but somewhere through all the filters it became this bland mess. The tooth fairy aspect seems pointless as teeth really serve no purpose and it's not like the witch kills people because they lost a tooth. She just kills anyone. So why is the tooth fairy tale even apart of the script?Just a forgettable movie that may not deserve a lot of the hate it had gotten, but definitely not something that needs to be seen. And what was up with the ending? That was possibly the worst way to end any horror movie and had me laughing at how flat of a note the movie ended on. I don't know if it was meant to be funny, but I wasn't laughing because it was a good joke, I was laughing because it was terrible.
