The story in incomprehensibly amazing and downright fun. The voice acting is rather unique and the characters are exceptional. I really did love the pirate king, but David Tennant was the star here. His interpretation of Darwin was so damn spot on. Aardman prove they have diversity in their stories and that's an achievement within itself. Queen Victoria is exceedingly humorous as the dark and cynical villain and it's riddled with so many historical gags and satires that it's unmissable. Excellently crafted and brilliantly animated, this film is balls off the wall fun

Michael K (kr) wrote: Sayles turns his slice-of-life approach towards the birth of rock ??n?? roll, exploring issues of musical evolution, social upheaval and predictably racism as he tells the story of a struggling bar owner whose blues act is failing to compete with the jukebox of a rival bar. It??s a good, watchable film if not as good as other Sayles pieces I??ve seen e.g. Eight Men Out, Sunshine State, mainly because it wasn??t as strong as either of those. Politically Honeydripper covers little in the way of new ground so you??re reliant upon Danny Glover??s lead and a few choice supporting performances carrying the narrative which is a relatively straightforward story. However, where Sayles does excel is in building up your anticipation for a brilliant final act when the film bursts into life. I was sat waiting, not frustrated, for the climax and was not disappointed, sitting there with a big smile on my face. It was worth the wait.

Michael S (au) wrote: Lame acting, Lamer script. None of the actors "fit" their characters right. Of course, this movie is for preteen girls and I'm a teenage guy, so I'm probably not the best critic.

David J (gb) wrote: I did not understand the film at all. Lazy job in setting up the plot.

Matt H (ag) wrote: I don't think the film series is as bad as what most people think, and this one isn't really the worst one. better than Revenge of the Fallen, but something about this one feels a bit odd in terms of story and structure. Cade is the best human character in this one and Lockdown is seriously the best villain the film series has. the new Autobots were enjoyable as well, but still, something about the story feels off in terms of structure. the last part in Hong Kong was just ridiculous though and it felt like nothing but filler. all in all, it's not that bad, bit the first one and Dark of the Moon are still the best ones, and I still have a small piece of hope for The Last Knight, especially since they have new screenplay writers for this one. (they wrote Iron Man and Black Hawk Down)
