Just Friends

While visiting his hometown during Christmas, a man comes face-to-face with his old high school crush whom he was best friends with – a woman whose rejection of him turned him into a ferocious womanizer.

When Chris, a likable, high-school loser, finally gathers the courage to reveal his love to Jamie, the girl of his dreams and a super cool cheerleader, she rejects him, saying she just wants to be friends. So, he moves across the country and transforms himself into a selfish, womanizing and successful music executive. But, 10 years later, circumstances bring him back to his home town and fate reconnects him with the "just friends" girl of his dreams. Suddenly, Chris has the chance to undo the past, but unbelievably, he finds it more difficult to romance Jamie than it was 10 years ago. . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

David B (de) wrote: Terrible acting, hard to enjoy a movie when you instantly dislike the lead character, only thing going for it was the scifi

Jamie C (fr) wrote: A hit and miss and very dark acted comedy, Very few laughs but still pretty clever, It will only be enjoyed by a select group of movie goers.

Sarah S (nl) wrote: I would've given this docu a higher score but I feel the pieces for this film were put together somewhat awkwardly, particularly the Westboro Baptist Church part (honestly, I'm not exactly sure why the Fred Phelps interview was included pther than he was born in one of the Mississippi cities in which there was a highlighted gay bar). Interesting docu otherwise :)

Dann M (nl) wrote: Kind of a hokey horror-comedy, Tales from the Darkside: The Movie is too tongue-in-cheek for its own good. In the film a suburban witch is entreated to three tales of horror by a young boy that she's preparing to cook. However, the stories are rather lame; a mummy that comes to life, a killer cat that won't die, and a gargoyle that falls in love. The writing is really poor, and is full of clichs and painfully bad stereotypes. Yet, the cast is surprisingly good, and includes Christian Slater, Steve Buscemi, Julianne Moore, and James Remar. Tales from the Darkside: The Movie is mildly entertaining, but it just isn't able to pull off the campiness and clever wit of the television series.
