Cage, Lovitz and Carvey are brilliant as the 3 brothers "on the run" to the town of Paradise where Lovitz (not so) subtly plants an idea in his brothers' heads for a great bank robbery. The title gives away the fact that getting out of Paradise is not quite so easy as the boys imagined, but their efforts to do so are hilarious and moving without being too saccarine. I watch this one every Christmas because it signifies everything I love about being alive, and my ultimate belief that there are more good people than bad out there. So many funny lines, and a nice little romantic side story, make this one great feel good movie.

He does sincere engagingly well. Then there's a song by Lemmon at which he fails, but he goes down gallantly fighting. And there's Janet Leigh trying the musical/dance genre. Whoda thunk it? These and more make this interesting while still not altogether entertaining.

But it's the remarkable Attah, whose young face reflects a hellish journey, that makes this fierce movie a blazing, indelible achievement.
