Ali G (ca) wrote: Nostalgic & fun! I really enjoyed this film. Although there were spots where the Manchester accents forced me listen very hard, I was swept up by this story of teenage love, friendship and rock and roll. Elliott Tittensor was excellent as the likable lead with a moving back story. And Emilia Clarke, of course, was gorgeous in her ingenue role. The acting was strong across the board. Loved the music too! Brought me back to my younger days. The film is not-rated but I'd give it an R rating for abundance of F-bombs and expected references to drugs and sex.

Mihaella S (ru) wrote: Freaking brilliant. nothign is out of place, the dialogue is amazing and hilarious. The story never ends, with tons of twists and surpizes. I simply loved it.

Elgan D (ca) wrote: A difficult film in which the plight of two would be Palestinian suicide bombers are seen in an sympathetic light. Whilst the inentions of this pair are obviously abhorrent this is a well handled and thought provoking picture.

Nik M (it) wrote: An effective autobiography that benefits from Denzel Washington's strong direction and understanding along with some great cinematography, but often becomes emotionally bloated and nearly mishandles its subplots completely.

Edgar C (br) wrote: Katherine Hepburn is a shining sun from beginning to end, giving away one of the finest female performances of the 30s in American cinema. Personally, I have always loathed the "family is money" motto and similar thinking; the characters in Alice Adams are not necessarily agreeing with that mentality, but rather see it as a way of surviving in a stupid society that ranks you according to your wealth and useless etiquette mannerisms and modals. Things haven't changed much since then.98/100
